How much trouble can you get into if you are a web designer or webmaster for a provider's web site?

Which is worse -- doing it for free or doing it for money?

Thanks.

What if the web designer is a personal friend of a provider? Can LE say that he is helping her run her business?

What if the web designer is a computer professional but web design is not his main line of business?

could try to bring a case to a grand jury, maybe even trying to use a RICO type statute to make it stick; but I have never heard of a case like that.

I would think that an army of civil liberties lawyers would descend upon him like stink on doo-doo.

In the end he's have to ask himself: "Is this worth it?"  The voters would want to ask the same question about the use of their tax dollars when more serious crime abounds.

If anyone has ever heard of such a case, I'd be curious to know about it.

(Still not a lawyer, but I sure am damn serious about the First Amendment.)

I think we just need more beavers. The more eager the better of course.
