Does LE in SF do sting operations using fake providers and adds to lure clients to hotel rooms? I know they have done sting operations to clean up streets, streetwalkers, cars, in some neighborhoods that have become publically and visibly problematic. But I would think they would not be spending their efforts on the private hidden dimension of the hobby, specially as the political will to prosecute has declined. Am I being paranoid about seeing an add and doing a meetup in an upscale hotel room?  Im of course talking about a new provider without reviews or reputation.

...every single instance of a sting operation is usually publicized on the local news and the local print/online media, including mugshots of those arrested. They are also somewhat easy to spot as they area almost on one of those crawler/backpage type sites where ANYONE can post an ad for cheap without any verification, and it usually features a too good to be true ad like "18 year old blonde college cheerleader needs shopping money...BBFS for upcharge" to get horny guys to click. They will also try to get you to agree to a sex act for money via text or email because that is solid evidence in court once they arrest you and confiscate your phone. They will also try to get you to meet ASAP and will not do any kind of screening because why waste time? They want to arrest you, not fuck you (not literally anyway).

As people have said on here, ad nauseam, DO NOT see a provider who is not well-reviewed on TER. Do not do it. No matter how hot she is and how cheap the price is and all the things she is willing to do....just don't you can even send messages to people who have seen the providers you like and ask for other details if they are willing to share.

With that said, nothing is 100%. Yes, LE mostly focus on streetwalkers and massage parlors because they pose an immediate quality of life threat, and in some areas like Dallas (Harry Hines Blvd??), they have to get their arms twisted to start rounding them up after local businesses complain.

Here in NYC, there was a major bust of an Asian massage parlor in Queens because mothers complained that their children were being harassed by the creepy men that were patronizing the place.
