I'm interested in seeing a provider from another state.  Las Vegas to be exact, our schedules never match. So I was thinking about flying her to LA.  I was emailing another gent and he informed me that it is a DO NOT DO.  He informed me of a post here on the Legal Corner but I can't seem to find it.  So I ask the Legal Beagle.  Parameters?  I have been talking to this provider and she is well reviewed and very well respected.  I have met her at a M&G so I know she's definitely who she says she is.  Any info would be very helpful.

Also If I travel to another state and want the company of one of my favorites to join me what are the things I should keep in mind when arranging said travel plans?  Do I just ad the price of the ticket to her donation?

If a legal one (This being the legal board.), then you should know that you'll me violating the Mann act (No wise cracks, please.), but if you are discrete and know that this provider has a good reputation, then you shouldn't worry too much about that.

On the other hand, to spend a long time (I assume an overnight, at least?) with someone you have not had a shorter session with before is kind of questionable.  I hope you two click.

Although some escorts and hobbyists would suggest arranging travel and purchase of tickets is ok, most lawyers would tell you that it is a bad idea. Arranging transport, within a state or across state lines can open you to charges if solicitation. Most state laws on solicitation include transport as an offence. If you end up being busted through no fault of your own or of the provider, you can be hit with extra criminal liability if you have crossed state lines.

The most famous state line crossing law is the Mann Act. It dates from 1910 and forbids transporting prostitutes across state lines and was also known as the "White-slave traffic act." Although this law has been amended to require transport for criminal purposes, and as such is no longer used by federal prosecutors for common prostitution cases, it is used when the FBI can link the individuals to other crimes such as child porn or suspected involvement in child porn. Do you see how open that is?

Some will tell you the Mann act is no longer applied, tell that to Tony Alamo, an evangelist was arrested at in 2008 at an Arizona motel, alleging he transported minors for indecent purposes (child porn).

Or consider retired State Supreme Court Justice Ronald H. Tills who was sentenced today to 18 months in prison for transporting prostitutes across state lines as entertainment for a fraternal order known as the Royal Order of Jesters, who is laughing now? Arrested as well were a police captain, law clerk and other “jesters.”

The Mann act usually only applies if someone PAYS the travel costs like an airline ticket and crosses state lines for the purpose of prostitution, does that sound like you? Crossing state lines with the intention of prostituting a person in another state is a separate federal offense by itself.

There is also a thing called the Travel Act that is found within The Federal racketeering laws contain a provision, “much loved by prosecutors,” known formally as "Interstate and foreign travel or transportation in aid of racketeering enterprises." The Travel Act makes it a crime to travel in interstate commerce with the intention of promoting, conducting or distributing the proceeds of unlawful activity including prostitution, would be a felony violation punishable by up to five years' imprisonment.  This law is used for organizers of prostitution rings but when you are sweating it out in a holding cell it is pretty scary stuff to worry about because when prosecutors get mad they can charge you with things that may nor really apply.

A Massage Studio lost its appeal in a more recent September 2008 Ninth U.S. District Court of Appeals case and was convicted of prostitution in Montana based on records that included clients from at least five other states. The Court upheld the Travel Act violations.

Be advised that the use the mail, computer, telephone or credit cards is sufficient to establish that you have been involved in interstate commerce under the Travel Act

Look at the case of an elected official charge with transport of underage prostitution as a federal crime, here the transport was not interstate but within the state.
Federal agents had posed as prostitutes on a chat room for a Memphis-based website pairing older wealthy men with young women. Using the implication that child porn was an element, though never proven, the arrest was made. Keep in mind that not all arrest ends in convictions and some arrests are political in nature however who wants to be arrested even if in the end the case is dropped?

In Miami, several years back, a high priced prostitution agency was busted by the feds because their pros were often flown in from other cities, states and in some cases from Europe. 13 of the organizers were charge while customers were not indicted as federal statutes apply only to people who arranged for prostitutes to cross state lines or provided rooms for the women.
Get that, people who arrange for transport sound like you?  State prosecutors who did not seek to prosecute customers were heavily criticized.

Under Florida law solicitation can be charged nearly for the conveyance or transport of a prostitute to facilitate prostitution, any transport or offer or agreement will qualify you as eligible to spend time in a Florida prison; believe me these are bad place for a vacation.

Oh yes, in case we forget, if you are driving the prostitute to her destination, in Nevada and several other states your vehicle can be impounded even before you are convicted  and may be forfeited.  Maybe the best solution is to take the bus. It will not impress anyone, but might save you the loss of your car.

So it is up to you to do as you please, but I would avoid arranging transport and buying tickets, ain’t there some cuties living near you that could use your financial support? As for the price of the ticket, that is not obviously not included in the service, so budget accordingly.

Seeing my first provider?   The only reason I asked this question originally was because I am planning a 3 some and one of my favorite ladies has requested a certain partner.  I have been communicating with this out of state provider for about 1 year.  Now It's time we spent a session together and what better way than a private get together.   This Provider has been around since 06 and I have never heard one negative thing about her.  I'm going to make the call today.  Thank you LB!  I never intended to purchase said ticket for her, the paper trail may pose a big problemo and since it's only a 45 min. flight she will be back to her place by dinner.
