I've heard in San Diego County police can take your car for picking up sw's.  What about OC california,  I've had trouble finding info.

The SW deal is probably due to being caught while actually in your car, in which case it will be impounded. They don't wan't to leave your car on the side of the road (honestly, it's probably better for them to impound it than to leave it on the side of the road to get stolen or wrecked). If you get busted in an incall sting type situation, your car will probably be left where it is. There is a possibility of if being towed by the property owner, though, if you're at an apartment complex or hotel/motel.

If you use your car to committ a crime in California, yes, they can (and will) seize your car.  The car becomes intertwined with the act.  Likewise, an escort dumb enough to run an incall out of a home that she owns is likely to lose THAT if she is arrested.

In AZ, there is a legislative effort afoot to limit home seizures to those with at least $150k in equity.  I guess they want the maximum amount of cash to make it worth the expense of foreclosing.

glengarryleads:  Can you site any instances in which a provider was arrested in her residence?  The arrests that have made the news seem to be: 1) providers having incall in a hotel/motel; or, 2) LE setting up in a hotel/motel and providers doing outcall there. I am under the impression LE are reluctant to enter a private residence in an undercover capacity.

No, sorry I can not direct you towards that (lack of knowledge). But I'd assume it to be 100% true.  Many (if not most) states allow both real and personal property to be seized if it was used in the commission of a crime. I've seen it happen.  I do know that homes are routinely seized in Ca in drug-related crimes. I see no reason to assume that prostitutes get a "pass" on the forfeiture process. If the cops want it, they'll take it (even if they eventually find you not-guilty of the original crime).

This might be shocking news to several providers who might be using their own homes in order to conduct business. I remember being in the fully-owned homes of several back when I lived there.
