Hi, Good Folks,

I saw a well-reviewed provider in DC last week and believe that she may have lifted my driver's license from my wallet while I was showering afterwards.  Just wondering if anyone has experienced something similar and what suggestions you have for me to deal with potential problems.  The license has my DOB and address, but no SS#. Nothing else in my wallet was taken.
Thanks for any suggestions.

Nothing else taken, not even cash?

Sometimes I put my DL a different place in my wallet when I have to pull it out for some reason. Are you sure you didn't do this?
As well, did you ask the lady about it? Just ask her straight out that you think you might have dropped your license. Depending on her reaction, you might be able to figure out her guilt. Or possibly she took it, but upon you asking give it back. You get your id back without conflict.

Kisses,
Vanica

Unless it was an accidental loss, she is probably selling it and using it for identity theft. Just watch your credit report for the next month.  Have proof before taking any action. kelly brandon

First, it is very hard to get your ss # using your DL, but everything is possible. Second, you have to call your DL and report it stolen not lost. Third, call your credit report agency and ask them to block the opening of any new accounts or the approval and/or disbursement of any loans unless you approved it personally using 2 pieces of IDs. This is feasible. I did it to block my ex-wife from getting loans and credit cards on my name.
Finally, you've got to monitor your credit like a hawk. Good luck
