I can speak to parts of this as personal fact.
The visa process from PHI to US is very difficult even when having perfect reasons and family.
The real issue is lack of communication and ability to question the additional questions. First you must meet the rules to even get a Visa. Then if you meet the rules you fill out the paperwork and then pay the fee and submit. That begins the first problem. You cannot pay the fee directly at the embassy. In fact unless you have a preset appointment you cannot even get into the Embassy. You cannot get appointment unless they set the appointment. You cannot say I want help and understand and can i have appointment. You can submit questions by eMail, and the answer they will give is to look at regulation XYZ.
Then you must have a way to pay the fee to immigration. Before you can the fee, you must have a case number, before you get a case number you must file the application. I do not know how it works in other countries but in PHI all applications can start as a hard paper but once filed, you get a case number and its all done email. So for many its difficult as they do not have routine access to internet. You do not file application at the embassy, you must hard mail the application to the US.
In PHI the "handler" is what called a "fixer" most are scams. The process itself simple as long as you have routine internet and meet the requirements.
There are many more problems for people from countries that do not have equal Visa. In Korea its much easier for a person to get a tourist visa than a tourist visa for Filipino. The US does not have equal visa requirements for Filipino, like they do for S. Korean. I meet all requirements for Green Card yet it took almost 2 years. Even I had visa for tourist once before it took 2 years. That is two years with no additional questions. 2 years with no mistakes or error in application. I cant imagine how long it would have taken if there had been problem in my application. Understand that Visa is the first part of the path to green card.
I dont send money to starving family. My family is here and in PHI as well. They eat just fine. I do send extra for them and I do send an allowance for a family i support in my home village. I am sure some send to their families because they need. But I think its far less than many think. Also you must understand that in Asia its expected the children will support family as they get older. that is simple the way it is and if you do not do so you are a bad child.
I do disagree that some sending money to pay off the fixer fees. I only say this because in PHI you must pay the fixer in all up front. They have no idea what will become of your application because background check. They make no real guarantee you will get visa. Also to remember, they especially dont know how your medical will be. All visa from PHI requires a full medical from approved clinic. Anything wrong with that medical and you must get fixed and show its fixed. The medical will have a full STD panel.
I have strict budget. I dont waste my money except once in a while. I keep to my budget and it works for me. I am lucky that my expenses are reasonable in my mind. The most expensive gift i have ever buy for myself was a little over 500.00 dollars US. And I felt guilty for days and almost return it after. I save and budget everything. This week I will take the test for a learners permit to drive. The test is 25.00 US. I budget that even so small. I do not know many US escorts, in fact i know only 3. I do know many Filipino escorts and a few Chinese. The Asian escorts I know that work at least part time seem to always have money when they need even if to just have a girls night out.
Finally I would be stunned a escort would want borrow money or "hit up" clients for rent or anything. For me it would be saying to a client either i am not a good enough fuck to make money or i am a lazy fuck and not make money. I would be disgraced.
Just my thoughts and experience
