I have been having trouble with this guy who I have rejected and he has harrassed me via phone and email for the last 3 monthes. He threatens to turn me into vice who claims to be good friends with. I have thought about getting a restaining order against him but I know he will try to retalliate by telling them my business. I really am not sure how to handle this situation. I have ignored the calls and do not respond to emails. I just save all the voice mails and texts i can as he refills them everyday. I can't take the 30 calls a day the threats and I am at my wits end!! I live in nashville,Tn. and I just need a little legal advice as to what to do about this? I do not want to draw any heat to myself, but I should not have to tolorate this. Please anbody help!!!I should not have to change my number and have to work through email as that can be a pain.

for a couple of days to transfer his 30 calls to you to someone like his mother, or a gay bar, or Mike Tyson...You get the picture.

Meanwhile you take  a vacation or work thru emalis.

That should defuse his enthusiasm for making so many calls.

Another approach short of going to the police is to hire a lawyer to write him a cease and desist letter threatening to go to court. That usually will work once he sees you are serious.

If he calls your bluff then you really do have to follow thru and take formal legal action or call the police.

Sorry, couldn't resist.  If you have the guy's information; full name, address, etc., have your attorney write a letter.  It may be enough to scare him off.

If this stalker is as big a problem as you state, you have to be willing to do whatever action to improve the situation.  If you are not serious, then why bother posting the request?

Phones are comparatively cheap.  On another thread, use a "private line"...  just another number...  for verified clients.

If you have a web site take it down.
Open a new e-mail and give it to only verified clients.

If he knows your in-call, move it.

You may want to eventually shut off the old phone & e-mail after you've moved your clients to the new.

Funny how all stalkers are "friends with vice cops".  They also POST how you have XYZ disease, the cops are watching you, etc.

Stalking/harrassment isn't legal either.  Is the guy married?  If so, he has more to lose than you do.  check him out or have it done

This has been discussed before.  Do a search & see what other threads have.

You've gotten some pretty good advice.  This is from a similar post a while back.
