Has anyone ever heard of a client being arrested in an AMP raid.? I never have. There have been a couple of raids in Providence but only girls were arrested on immigration violations.
What could they charge you with if you had simply paid your $60 for a massage?

Paying for a massage is not going to get you arrested, but if your masseuse is going for a happy ending and as you are shouting "Hiawatha,"  the vice comes charging in, then you might get charged with shooting off an unconcealed weapon, lets just hope you didn't hit any cops in the face.
A variation is when a vice cop has entered surreptitiously and is awaiting his massage and sexual favor when he sees or hears you through a curtain and out of jealousness asks for your company after he has gained his arrest with his own guy or girl.
If the raid was by immigration they would be after the girls or guys with out green cards and not looking for pickles in action.
Surprisingly, if your massage was interrupted, you might have a valid suit against the massage house as well as the police. Take the massage house to small claims court, leave the police alone.

along with the gals not too long ago.  I guess in LV, just being in the place was enough.  I don't know if the charges got dropped later or not, but the main damage is done when you get cuffed.

You are correct however.  Most times that I hear of a raid, the gals get collared and the guys are allowed to pull their pants over their boners and get the hell out of Dodge.

Prior to the change in RI statutes, a few raids were conducted on AMPs...  the best they could do was building code violations.  All the women had come into the US legally and since they were not breaking the existing statute there was no attempt to deport them.
Since RI statute was changed, there have been typical stings of providers, where the offense is prostitution.   Sex for money is prostitution & anytime one of the people in the room is LEO, is trouble.

I think it mostly has to do with workers with
no licenses for massage
and no green cards not so much what they are doing in the rooms .
If it's an amp I assume they automatically think the ladies are being trafficked there which isn't always the case.

In the past the RI raids centered around busting illegal aliens and the customers were not hassled.  With the new law in effect and indoor prostitution now being illegal the focus could change...but I tend to doubt it.

One thing to remember though if they DO decide to go after customers is that it doesn't matter what you paid, what you got or even if the charges stick.  Being arrested and dragged into the legal system alone is enough to ruin your life.  Years ago the city of Boston pretty much eliminated the bulk of streetwalkers with what they affectionately refereed to as "operation squeeze play". It was a series of stings using plain cloths police women to bust guys trying to solicit a streetwalker.  Most of the busts didn't stick and where dismissed but every guy who was arrested got his name printed in the Boston papers and there was plenty of video on the local news.  Street prostitution, which had been huge in Boston, slowed to a mere trickle and has really never come back...

In NJ it's happened MANY times.

The police have to catch you in the act though - if they bust into your room during a raid and you're just being massaged at the time, you're ok.  But, if you're in the middle of some illegal activity... you can get screwed twice. :-)

I can answer this question with a resounding and definitive yes.  Over the last couple yrs Im aware of two massage parlors being busted in Mpls and all customers within the building being arrested for solicitation.  In fact, one was photographed and had his name and photograph in the Minneapolis Star Tribune (not me).  Another dude was just sitting in the lobby.  Both times they had sent in a cop with a wire and gotten offers of sex.  They had tried several girls and would eventually get one to make a mistake.  Dont know if the  charges would stick in these circumstances but the message gets out that  youre putting your reputation and career on the line when you frequent these places.
