From time to time I get the spells of Paranoia and the OMG what would I do if I were ever arrested...

I keep my home and my play life very seperate, but I do own my own home and have kids.. Aide from the obvious " say nothing, Answear nothing. I don't play in my home and I worry too that since I own a home here that they will automatically search it too..

Is there a Bondsman that I can call and give him a heads up just in case? Or is there something that I can do to Let the Magistrate know that I am not a flight risk etc...I have great credit., don't travel, I don't even do drugs... I am just little ol me..

I suppose my biggest fear is not being to find my way out of the jail in a short period of time and keeping my kids and neighbors from finding out.

The easiest solution is not to see anyone who isn't verfied!  You can find out a lot of info about someone on google, often without them even realize what you are doing.  Never see a guy who won't give you his real name and where he works.  Or, use one of the verification services, such as roomservice2000.com (I trust Cathy implicitly).  Preferred411.com and date-check.com also have great reputations.
Remember (and someone pls correct me if I am wrong)all we are dealing with is a misdeneanor, a local crime.  You have to get busted by a cop who works that town.  If someone asks to see you in one town or state and then you manuver it to another town or state, he is not a cop.  I get deposits most of the time. Email me if you want to know how I arrange them.  I just don't think the police are going to send someone money ahead of time, and I believe that would be entrapment.
But!  While I am an experienced escort who has never had an legal issues, I am not a lawyer.  Any attorneys want to chime in here?
One more comment:  I think it is a complete bummer that we have to worry about legal issues at all.  We are consenting adults who are chosing to engage in a mutually beneficial situation.  What about Match.com?  What about picking someone up in a bar?  If a guy is generous enough to help me pay my bills and I show my appreciation by pleasing him (after, of course, he has pleased me!) why should I have to worry about being arrested??
Maybe I should move back to Vancouver!

Screening is the single most important element to stay safe from both LE and deranged clients.

Screen just as securley as makes you feel safe and you should be fine.

As for a bondsman, you are probably better off making an arrangement with a lawyer and paying one a retainer to represent you should the worse occur.  Keep his or her phone number on your cell phone's speed dial.

(still not a lawyer)

If LE takes you into custody you have the right to make a phone call.  Unless things have changed you have NO right to make it on your own cell phone nor do you have the right to access to it if it is being booked as evidence.  Either memorize the number or have someone to call who can call the attorney for you.

Problem is that if its 2am on Saturday Morning, even to be released on your own recognicence (sp?) you may be in Holding for 12+ hours.

Get to know them with a consultation.  Then in the worst case scenerio if you don't have the number committed to memory make sure they are listed in the yellow pages.

Von is correct, you won't have your phone, you won't be able to access the number and you will only get the one call and a bunch of phone books to look for a lawyer.

TRUE STORY... my one phone call as I was on the phone with the PHONE BOOK gripped in my fingers to get the number a county deputy came by and ripped it from my hands and flung it across the room.  I was so dumb founded and in shock from my whole situation.  But it plays in my head over and over the unbelievable "JERK"ness you can encounter once you are arrested.

Another friend who was caught in a sting also called her lawyer and in the middle of the night he wasn't too happy to help her out. So be sure that the lawyer you are using has an answer service that will respond 24/7 and will be in touch with a bail bondsman and also be able to contact judges to secure a release if you are on a hold with no bail.

Good for you. I guess, but I doubt that many other providers are going to be too successful with that business strategy, especially if they are targeting TER members as clients.

The same goes for baiting and switching cities/states. I am happy for you that this seems to be working out, but I guarantee you, most of the guys I know, including myself will just take a pass on a provider that expects us to jump through that many hoops.

Screening is important, but all you can do is put the odds in your favor, you can never eliminate all the risk.

The best advice given here is to keep an attorney on retainer, just in case. Any halfway decent attorney can get you out of jail, night or day, unless LE really wants to fuck with you in which case you have no options.

Find an attorney with experience in these matters, throw him a grand, and hope you never have to see him again. Your peace of mind is worth it.

Make a clear emergency plan!  You may be held even with a quick turn around.  Who needs to be notified if you are in jail?  What is their contact information? What do they need to do?  (Feed the cat, pick up the kids from school, change your email passwords, disable your website, etc.)  Make your instructions clear and give the instructions to your lawyer in the event you ever have to make that call.

Before all that though, be comfortable turning away work with good screening.

dont rely on speed dial. you might get separated from your phone.

if it's in your head, you got it when you need it.

bondsman keep longer hours than attorneys and their job is to get you out of jail.

you can hire an attorney once you're out.

If you are on a hold without bail, you need a criminal lawyer that can go to a judge to secure your release.  A lawyer is the better way to go and a good criminal lawyer uses a 24 hour answer service that will get them out of bed and work for you.
