I have known at least two gals who provide and were also teachers.

I wouldn't expect it to go down well with the usual gang of idiots who call the shots.

Looks like there is more then blue grass in the Ozarks but blue balls is not a problem when teachers start
turning tricks to pick up a little extra snatch. But is there anything wrong with a teacher bending over to supplement her  income in the hours the school is closed? Isn't it valuable to have educators who have business experience in the real world and whose study of biology in up to date? I for one prefer a mentor who is available after hours and who brings new meaning the the expression "fucking teachers." What do you think?

Everyone speeds on the freeway, and everyone knows it.  The cities love it because they make so much money on something people will always do.  In fact, they count on it, and you only need to see the way the rate of traffic tickets goes up during recessions to know that this is true.

Sex is no different, of course, and they can keep making easy busts, look good on TV, and generate lots of fines and court costs by picking the low-hanging fruit of working girls that will always be vulnerable because they must advertise.

I can't think of a more benign misdemeanor than indoor prostitution, except maybe for going 57 mph in a 55 mph zone, and I got a ticket for that in 1994.

As for teachers, as long as it isn't a small town and everyone knows Miss Jones, who teaches 3rd grade, is hooking, what's the harm?  Frankly, there are so many female teachers giving it away during summer break, I don't see any real difference from a moral standpoint.  Of course, I'm of the group that thinks what happens between your legs isn't anybody's business but yours.

with some exceptions, teachers are paid crap compared to equivalent education and certification skill levels in private industry.  I would like to see a sucessful legal challenge to dismissing a teacher for work in the sex industry.   Perhaps in Nevada?

Here is a section of the standard UTF teachers contract, which seems to suggest that unless the teacher s involved in a felony, she should not be subject to dismissal, I do not have a copy of the Ozark contract but it might be possible to challenge dismissal based on a misdemeanor prostitution charge. If teach was hit with a felony charge then she has no chance to object.
"You are paid while you are reassigned except if you were found guilty or pled guilty to any felony. Also, the DOE can request a special hearing to determine whether there is sufficient evidence that you engaged in serious misconduct such as any actions that would constitute: 1. a felony involving a controlled substance; 2. a crime involving physical abuse of a student or minor; 3. a felony committed on school property or while performing duties; 4. a felony involving a firearm; or 5. serious sexual misconduct with a student or a minor such as sexual touching, verbal abuse of a sexual nature, solicitation of a relationship and possession of child pornography."

HOWEVER, many contacts for teacher include a immoral clause, for ex.
"In 24 P.S. § 1122 immorality is not defined. The section only states that a tenured professional employee’s immoral conduct is cause for termination. The courts have defined immorality as “a course of conduct that offends the morals of the community and is a bad example to the youth whose ideals a teacher is supposed to foster and elevate.”"
This clause has been used to dismiss a teacher who suffered a  DUI, and in another case applied to a teacher convicted of selling phony watches and certainly would apply to a hooker caught with her panties around her ankles.

Dear Legal Beagle:
Considering that she knows that she is a teacher, she should consider doing her part time job away from the town where she is working in. This would be a good start because it would be unlikely that she would encounter any parent, neighbors or anyone that she might remotely know. Also try to work solo or with a company that would screen thoroughly to diminish the chances of getting busted.
