My mistake.

That's not what the page said the last time I looked at it, but that was a long time ago.

I am a newbie thinking about taking the plunge, and I have a set of circumstances that makes everything a little more difficult.

Have done quite a bit of research - but need advice - greatly appreciated:

1 - I am not a VIP, can't have charge card records, and no providers yet, so no reviews yet, and TER does not take pre-paid credit cards, heard money orders take months...
2- I am self employed (over 10 years), have been advised arranging 3rd party verification might be difficult...

Good news (I think) I have found and contacted a provider, willing to work with me. She liked the way I wrote and explained my situation. She has 6 reviews, 8s,9s,10s all categories - only goes back 2 months. She has a website with links to 1 provider with much more extensive and also favorable review history, goes back over a year. Link to 2nd provider 1 review, good rating, but only month old. All 3 have websites, with TER badges. The 3rd (1 review provider) apparently created the all 3 websites - they don't hide this, they all give credit (btw the sites are not very slick - probably a good thing?). I have been tracking a few months, all 3 have posted in discussion forums.

As I said I am not VIP so can't research hobbyists - but many of their handles / names seem to pop up frequently.

My gut tells me it is probably okay - but I'm a little paranoid. Maybe there is a better way to start?

Any feedback would be much appreciated.

that you shared with us.

Just know that nothing is 100% certain.

A bigger indication is how the provider comes off when you speak to her.

If she tries to suggest specific sexual acts, that is a warnng sign and I would cut off further contact and start over again.

I would also fire off the money order to TER and get your VIP.  The sooner the better.

(still not a lawyer)

Thanks for patience in reading my lengthy scenario.  Yes - never a discussion of specifics, she has even suggested we may or may not go further than a face to face intro (she needs to check me out in person, along with some other basic pre-screen)... she is a more mature provider and has been very professional. Undestand about VIP, guess I'll snail mail the MO. Thank you again.

Make sure you research and get the right kind for International & the Netherlands.  It's my understanding that a US Postal Money Order is not accepted.

The Netherlands????  TER is in California.  Besides, AFAIK, escorting is legal in the Netherlands so there would be no problem over there.  Maybe you've misunderstood the concept of going Dutch.

1. Print out this completed form.
2. Make the International Money Order or Cashiers Check payable to Treehouse Park
3. Mail it to:

Treehouse Park
Box 75479
1070 AL, Amsterdam
The Netherlands

Then you don't even have to be 100% truthful using the online form here to signup.

That was my first thought - and unless I missing something, or getting bad info -  the billing company TER uses doesn't accept them. I even called the billing company to ask about this... they said they don't accept "prepaid" or "gift" cards. If you know something definitively different let me know. Thanks.

I'm interested as well.  I've let my membership lapse  while looking for a solution that leaves no paper trail as I always used to use USPS MO.  I haven't tried the prepaid cards, but heard  of others who've tried  like yourself and none were successful.  I know of one who sent cash but it disappeared.  Others with MOs that take months to process, disappear or not honored in the Netherlands.
We might get better suggestions restarting this on the general discussion board.

In hind sight - probably should have put this on the "Newbie" board instead (which I eventually did). My concern was LE issues - I probably didn't title this thread very well either, ie: I know you can pull a logo from anywhere and put on a webpage - I just meant in conjunction with everything I described, was there maybe a likelihood that a provider was a safe bet (in being who they said they are) knowing nothing is 100% foolproof or guaranteed. Anyway, responses / advice on both boards was helpful. Thanks to all.
