I usually just end up skipping those sites altogether.
Reason being is the way I see it... it's only a matter of time before the local authorities have their prosecutor subpoena their records for whatever reason... minor or major.
I know that some places like the roomservice people make sure to shred and get rid of potentially incrementing info and are constantly working to ensure confidentiality.
In regards to some of these other sites... Im not so sure..

Good afternoon sort of Legal Counsel Corner! I am hoping you might be so kind as to help with some concerns I have?
Recently I have been looking to advertise on 3 well-known and rather large websites. Am I allowed to mention them by name here? I'm not that is kosher sure so I won't until I get the OK. You all probably already know at least two of them because, along with TER, they are among the biggest and most popular sites that providers use for advertising.
Since I have only ever been advertising with one site since starting in this business venture of mine, I thought I would branch out and get a little more visible on these other sites. While perusing their advertising requirements, I found that two of these sites want a scanned copy of my driver's license while another wants the name found on my driver's license and the driver's license number.
This concerns me greatly as my information has been private up until this point.
What happens if I give these sites my information? Does that not directly link me to my stage name and therefore it becomes a huge concern should legal issues ever arise?
I feel the need to mention that I am extremely cautious in who I meet and what I discuss, both via email and in person. I have taken further precautions that I will refrain from discussing openly but suffice it to say that I am an educated and informed provider. My website mentions nothing that would get me into any sort of trouble, at least I don't think it does. My concern is not with getting caught by someone in person but with the possibility of having this information on file with these businesses. Are these business themselves operating in a completely legal realm or are they under scrutiny by LE as well and therefore my information is subject to possible seizure should these companies ever get raided?
I hope my questions and concerns are clear. Should you be needing more specifics and it is okay for me to mention the other sites by name, just let me know and I will post back with the pertinent information.
