For example, they cite how many prostitutes are beaten by clients in the US.   Well, it is illegal in the US, so why is this an argument to outlaw sex for pay?

 
In any case, there is a lot of research and study showing progressive and harm reduction by virtue of decriminalizing sex work, so much so that the UN's position on this is that it should be legal.
