This has gotten so far out of control that I feel I need to do something but I don't know what. Does a judge look at me like I'm a real ass for evening trying to do something? UGH I'm so frustrated!!!

If not, you will need to go silent and change all your contact information.  I know that sucks, but often gals need to do this until the harasser goes away and finds a new target.

Last step is to involve LE.  No, they do not consider you an ass for doing so.  They know that harassers can become dangerous and will try to protect you.  I do suggest seeking a lawyer to know how to do this in the most efficacious way.

Or, you can find a big strong boyfriend to stomp the shit out of the guy, if you can find him.  (No, not volunteering.)

It's not a guy for starters so the stomping thing won't fly. I have burned the number and since the bsc threats have obviously ceased. Now it's just a matter of my name being dragged into Bullshit regarding people I absolutely dont know. These people have contacted me and clearly think I have some part in this. I assure you that I don't.

An escort service in  Raleigh couldn't get one of their girls to answer her phone. And the client wasn't answering his either. Escort owner gets frantic, thinking the girl had been kidnapped. She goes over to the hotel and no one is in the room. She's sure her girl is in trouble and calls the cops and is honest with them and trusted them and told them the truth. She fills out a report. After a few days go by the damn girl shows back up after running away to the beach for the weekend with the client.

Escort owner fires the girl. About a month later a sting operation ensues on the escort service. Po Po took the info the owner gave the cops, and they did an investigation on the service and shut it DOWN.

It doesn't matter what the cops tell you, staying off their radar is best. The best thing is to first do as you say, change phone number, email addy too. *Try to keep Po PO out of it.* This has been going on for Erin for a few months maybe 3 since shit hit the fan about a now delisted provider. Threats have been made to Erin. Harassing threatening calls. Trying find out where she is working on a given day. If Erin was in a "straight" job your advice would be spot on. Finding a provider friendly lawyer is a good start too. Trying to get this harassment to stop without involving the police is a slippery slope but the best way.  A cease and desist order if this doesn't stop is worth looking into if Erin want to invest the money in finding out who "she" is and were to have "her" served.

My advice to Erin has been to start by taking to steps of changing her contact number, not having a published contact number anywhere, changing her email addy and being very careful and screening the hell out of any new clients. I'm hoping with these methods the threats and harassment will stop. If not, then Erin needs to find a good lawyer.

As far as Erin having to have a guy stomp the crap out of someone, in this case I truly think Erin could take "her", lol. But I'm not saying she should, really I'm not saying she should snatch her hair off of "her" head. I'm not saying that!

Seriously this has gotten out of control and I don't want to see anyone get hurt here.

I'm so sorry this has turned so ugly. Try to do a work around first with the things I've suggested. Try not to involve LE unless it's absolutely necessary. If you feel your life is in danger then yes. Get a lawyer for ANY legal moves you need to make or you yourself will be vulnerable. Don't react out of anger, think and act smart about this. Sure you'd be justified for going full throttle, but you don't want to crash and burn.

This is no ordinary job so you have to think about what is the best way to handle this without shining the spotlight on yourself. It sux but it is what it is when you're in the gray area biz wise.

Ya know, it's human nature to dislike a person. It is not human nature to seek and destroy a person. So, I have to imagine that this persons life has been pretty horrible. In my lifetime I have never had to deal with a sociopath. It baffles me to say the least. I did reach out to both an attorney friend and a cop friend. I did not like sticking my tail between my legs lol. But, guys are heroes and they did provide peace. I know exactly where I stand. I also know what can happen if this worsens. For today, I am going to get laid. Thanks Steph and Mr. Fisher for being the voices of reason under not so reasonable circumstances. 😘

Stalking, threats & harrassment are pretty annoying & you just don't know where it will lead.  If you've changed your contact info then that's a good first step.  Hopefully that will work.  
Save any threats that come in...  everything leaves tracks & may be traceable by someone with the expertise.  
I would not go to LE without a lawyer...  as has been said, LE should go after the criminal but it's wise to go to LE without representation to keep things focused.  
If the perp is sent a cease & decist demand letter by a lawyer...  to the harrassers legal name & address...  it turns the tables.  They are no longer anonymous internet trolls!  Of course, you must be prepared to take the legal action if necessary.

Document with phone videos and anything save able in a file, texts print them out . All text are documented at your phone company they do not erase from there like your phone! Once a text is sent it is on record" @ phone provider. Login to your account and click on bill  then go to review texts.  
Document your doctor visits do to the personal stress do to this guy. PERSONAL, family everything. Document financial loss do to the stress and slander!  Now. Try not to panic and that's hard to do when your freedom is hack.  File every financial law suit you can and in every direction you can $$$ make sure it get filed with court so when he try's to get a job and the search records it pops up!  It will only be a matter of time be for he is forced to move on. Sad that a persons obsession with a situation and people can be so twisted . I'm sure there is a lot of misunderstanding change a sick mind with a ...,. Well more we'll be reviled as time goes. Get on with it! Hugggsss when your done. Of course lol
