A close friend got busted with weed on her. She also got 2 extra charges for drugs that were not hers. Yet the driver who was also on felony prob. For those drugs walked away. What can she do?

Hmmmm. Think she has a pub def. She is raising 2 kids alone n lives paycheck to paycheck..

She needs best legal help NOW, not later.  If she's getting charged with stuff she wasn't holding.  I presume it wasn't her car...   Driver probably sold her out.   It really wasn't smart to be carrying weed on a "date"...   a multiplier for a minor charge

Many have legal aid societies that do pro bono (no charge) work.  

she may have child custody problems if convicted.  Another resource to explore is womens shelters & such resources.  May have pro-bono lawyers who'd help protect her interest.  She needs to get best representation before this goes further.

She made a deal with the state n got 6 months probation. N if she finishes it they will drop the charges

Then she really needs to keep her nose clean...   but diversion is good.
