Dates are always frought with risk.  

One young man I know, took a lady home from a bar...    actually she took him, went back to his place.  She claimed rape.  He claimed a one night stand.  He was arrested, charged, lost his job & house, eventually went to trial...  
His laywer fround survailance footage from inside the bar when she was all over him & the bar parking lot the next morning when she took him back next to get his car, parted with a kiss.  He was aquitted, because by luck of the place having survailance.  

Kind makes you not want to do one night stands.

Sounds pretty implausable to me.  The question is where did this meeting originate?  If it was on Match.com or any other 'reputable' dating site, I fail to see how/why LE would be involved.  It would be almost beyond belief that LE would spend that much effort to entrap someone and then fudge the facts to make an arrest when there was zero evidence to support it.  I suppose it could happen, but...?
Reminds me of a story I was told by a (now retired) Las Vegas Metro Vice Sgt.  They had been tipped that there were a lot of girls working the casinos down in Laughlin so the whole vice squad packed up and headed down the river for a couple days.  What they found instead of platoons of working girls, a convention of female professionals (pick a profession; nurses, female attorneys, I can't remember what they were) and instead of making arrests by the Paddy Wagon full "we screwed our brains out for three days before the Sherrif made us come home!"
