Well, putting up a price does make it much easier for someone to argue that money is involved, doesn't it? Particularly if it's on a website that can be printed out on color and pasted up onto posterboard for the entire jury to see.
I was told by more than one lawyer, not to put up a price on my site for anyone or anything. y also said it would not stop a bust but can be very helpful to me in court if I didn't.

you remind me of #3 attorney (the actual honest one) He thought same as you in that he wanted to print up huge copy of my "Ad" to show the Jury as it was so Innocent & G rated. Plus there was not even a hint of me selling anything. It seems my case is pretty extreme..(no money & no sex & no motive & no priors) involved. Yet plenty of juicy prime rib & beer for the cop to enjoy......
If we didn't learn anything else from our friend Arlo, discussed in a thread below, we should learn that one cannot depend upon the Judge to have a seeing eye dog...
You really do not want posterboards of your website to be used "as evidence against you"
The reason for putting $$ on the web site is so you don't have to talk $$ to every schmuck who calls on the phone. There is no way to be risk free. The question is how does LE tie a web site to the individual? Would a site hosted outside the US be any advantage? Pictures? e-mail addresses? As interested as we all are, perhaps the answers should not be posted on a public forum. Wishing you the best, skb
If you don't indicate your rates somehow then you have to communicate it directly and if you do that to LE, it's pretty open and shut if they get it on tape.
Many gals use a cute system of calling it roses, or some other cutsey name.
I doubt any of these ploys work in a courtroom.
As for connecting a website to you, I'm sure a good computer savvy person could find the trail to link the site to you, if they really felt it necessary to do so.
as hard as we all try not to discuss it, in my experience, it is still discussed, even IF they read the site. IMO, more do not read the site than do.
I know there isn't a silver bullet for either side, but I have often been asked why I don't post the prices and I feel more comfortable in not doing so and been told its stupid.
if we get to the point of discussing the price he has been verified and feel safer in doing this way.

A friend of mine posted her price per hour and her neighbors found her post and gave it to her landlord.
Now if she had no price per hour they could assume but they couldn't do what they did to her. they had their proof and she should move.
I never post price or services. I would rather tell them. If they le has gone to the trouble to get whatever they need in place to offically record me they are out to get me and I am probably going down any way.
But I heard a lawyer say NEVER COMMIT ANYTHING TO PAPER something about the first rule.
