No specific situation that I'm involved in, but I've noticed a few times, while reading reviews, that sometimes they disappear.

Certainly fake reviews should be eliminated at a Provider's request!  I'm wondering if a Provider can have ANY review removed, or is there some checking with the Hobbiest by TER to verify first?

As a side thought, purhaps the Hobbiest's User Name should remain in the Provider's review column....with something showing that He's a trouble causer....and, the review itself still removed.  Possibly helpful, if only temporarily, to other Providers and even other Hobbiest as these Characters may e-mail, post and PM.

TER could answer part of this......any knowledge or thoughts from others?

It's a great thought in theory, but I wonder if it would be too hard to moderate each case in a fair manner. The decision of leaving the handle up with a blank space in lieu of a review, would in essence be a punishment and a bad mark associated with that person. I would think that many cases would be judged unfairly and cause undeserved grief.

As an example, I have requested that two reviews be taken down during my time with TER. The first reviewer included private information that was part of a discussion we had at dinner. I don't have this information posted anywhere and feared it might be a major identifier if anyone such as family or close friends came across it. If you got passed the part where you convinced the moderators of TER to add twice the work load to their already heavy job, and they judged this one, you would think he should not be punished because it was not done to harm anyone. However, the second review I requested to be removed was due to the fact that in the detail section he included an act that I do not offer nor perform. Should he be punished and a blank space be put next to his name? Maybe he had seen so many providers on his trip that he mixed up a detail. It seems innocent enough.

If this process/punishment were in effect during the time I made my requests for removals, I might not have felt comfortable enough to have gone through with the request's. Even though it was important to me, I would have worried about hurting clients/friends whom I had no personal issue with. The idea that the new policy could hurt someone innocently seems too much of a risk.

I know what you are getting at and in concept it does sound like it could help all of the ladies out, I just think there are too many unknown's and too many ways for it to go wrong. On a board like this where one strike can make or break you, there seems to be too many holes in this one to risk ruining a good reputation that a hobbyist has built.

As a side note, it is wonderful to see someone thinking about the ladies and ways to keep us safe. We don't have much in way of protest if we are done wrong on the board, and it's nice to see that we are being looked out for. A big thank you hug QS.

Just my humble opinion. I too, would like to hear more thoughts on this.

Warmly,
Jessica

There was a post on the general board about an incident in
Philly a while back.  Staff gave the criteria of what they look
at to determine if the review is false.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to make a false review just
vague enough so that it is hard to prove that it is fake.

dude out

Most of these questions have been answered on the Policy board. This whole post should be put on there.

exactly part of what I was hoping to recieve!  Seems like not too many Gals participate here, except to advertise.

I agree that no Hobbiest should be blackballed for an innocent mistake.  I was thinking more of the, hopefully rare, situation where a review is posted by a guy who may not even have seen the Provider, or one that is intentially sent in to do harm.  I realize the importance of the reviews to your livlihood, and hopefully they are honest.  Does TER have any safeguards to prevent this?

On the other hand, I've also wondered if a Provider might have a poor review taken down to keep her numbers up?  Can this be done?  Obviously.....not all appointments "click",........ but can a Provider just have a legit review removed if she doesn't like it?

Jessica, you are a beautiful young woman!  Thanks for the reply, and I hope to meet you sometime.

to probably spending about what my first modest home cost on Providers over the past 2 or 3 years.  Most of that, gladly, in one direction, but I have seen other Providers that I did not write reviews on because I felt and honest report might harm their career some.

Now, if a Provider knowingly misrepresented herself in someway or just had a terrible attitude or rushed the session....then I'd put up low scores, in a minute, for the team.  The reviews I didn't submit, or even write, were on Providers that were ...TRYING .......new in the business and just didn't have it quite together yet, or ended up not being quite the calibur in someway that I had hoped for and enjoy......and, yet, for other Hobbiest, ideal!  So, I decided not to initiate a setback for them.  Having a long list of reviews under my name is not important to me.

BTW, I'm far from wealthy!  Just decided to live life NOW........retire a little later, maybe......probably with a little less.......but, most likely, a little less functional then.      LOL

How common do you think it is for a provider to enlist friends/clients or buy an alias to write false negative reviews about another provider? Has anyone been caught doing this?

Phoney reviews, whatever the intent of the "reviewer", usually stand out, but to varying degrees.

There are the reviews that guys make up to get VIP status, which are hard to spot unless a lady makes it clear that she never saw this client and pursues the issue. These reviews are usually good to great; no point in trying to get a freebie VIP by writing an average or poor review.

Then there are the reviews that are written to smear a lady and ruin her reputation. Different motivations here depending on who writes the review, a disgruntled client or possibly a lady looking to make trouble for another escort by either posting it herself under an alias, or having a complicit friend/client do it for her. These usually stand out like a sore thumb, especially if the lady has a string of good to great reviews and then gets an obvious lousy one or two. I tend to discard these type reviews as either aberrations, a simple lack of chemistry/intimacy between lady and client, or outright fakes. Think with the big head gents, at least initially, before you decide who to see.

Last, I have no idea what percentage of reviews on TER are fakes, and what percentage of those are posted simply with the intent to smear. I believe Staff by and large tries to police this, but imagine it's somewhat difficult to do. MfSD>>>>

Because reviews can generate web traffic and visibility to that person. A review posted on TER can generate 5-10 times more traffic to a web site for a day or two.

I like what you said. Everyone here said exactly what's going on. What it boils down to is performance and passion. Someone once told me "it's like being an actor" Do you think for one second I can act everyday? Pretend ? Do you think that's fair to the person taking time because he thought that you were so fuckin hot he wanted you and no one else?  Sometimes, yes I admit you get people  trying to ruin you rep. What I have to say about that is this.... fuck them. Rock on!!!!!  If your hot your hot and if your not your not!
