Heading in to town next week and expect half my time to be a table at some sort.  Know the Aria and Bellagio are nice.  Last time I was at PH it was in the middle of an eatery.  Pretty sad.  Not looking for high stakes or big wins, more for the relaxation and socialization.

For all of the locals, where are the best rooms I need to visit.  Maybe I'll see you there?

I assume you are looking for a cash games, rather than tournaments.  I see Kat just listed a lot of poker room options, both big and small.

I would guess you are playing lower stakes no-limit holdem?  If so, that can be found in pretty much any room.  But if you play other games, such as limit holdem, or omaha, you have more limited options.

Regardless, I would get the Bravo poker app on your phone.  It is critical for any poker trip.  Basically you can look up all live games and waiting lists for all the poker rooms (at least all the rooms running the Bravo system, which is most of them).  Nothing worse than showing up to a room and seeing a wait list of 30 names for your game.

I just got back from Vegas and staying at the Venetian. The room was large, short waits for tables, food service (albeit a little slow). I even made a few hundred dollars at the 1-2 NL.

Because I do agree, the best standard room to "sleep" or poke her is at the Encore...BTW,you could tell I don't play poker.

There is a new larger room in Encore. The old room on Wynn side is now used for tournaments, but will eventually become a retail area.

Operating under Al's assumptions (low limit NLHE cash games) and agreeing with much of what Kat said, I'll add that if I could only play in one room in Vegas going forward it's an easy choice. Venetian. It still has soft spots at 1/2 level but there's enough money on the table where you can actually make some if you are running good. It has a big room (not cramped spaces), spreads wide selection of games (at times) above average chairs, decent tableside food, fair comps for play and room rate, and easily the *best tableside massages in town*. For a poker room. Also, there is always interesting action as Tao spills down escalator at end of its night.

Respectfully, Venetian also has a much lower dbag quotient than Encore. IMHO.

Bravo app and poker atlas can be huge timesaver when working/accurate. However, Bravo hasn't updated app in 12 months and poker atlas is newly buggy. They are still MUCH better than nothing.
