Staying in a hotel with valet only parking. Will it be a problem for providers visiting with me.

What is etiquette for valet parking.
I assume a provider will tip valet man on arrival and departure. Is it expected to give provider a few dollars to cover this extra expense?
Thanksyou.

The provider coming to visit you should not have a problem with visiting you at a hotel that is valet only.
I have been to hotels that are valet only I have never had an issue.
There really is no etiquette regarding valet parking.
She comes to your hotel valet's her car and comes up very simple:)
I usually tip the valet in the beginning when I first show up or to keep my car up front.

I have never expected a gent to give me valet money $5 or $10 for valet not a big deal.
The only time a gent has given me money for the valet is when it is a hotel I am visiting that is valet only and they make you pay for the valet parking.
There is a few hotels out here like this such as some of the Hilton Grand Vacation Suites.
I think the last time I was there the fee to park was like almost $11 if I am not mistaken.
You could slide her a little something at the end to pay for parking but I would not say it is expected:

I have occasionally walked my date down to valet.  Before I could even reach into my pocket, she already had a fiver in hand.  So obviously, this is not a big deal for providers, and they just view it is a cost of doing business.

Anyone ever had items stolen from inside their cars by valets. I have had money, and even half a bag of snacks eaten by valets. I mean there is not much you can do about it as every valet on that shift has access to your car. Many valet garages leave your car unlocked, and anyone can get into it.

You could say the same things about Maids.

They have access to your room, when your not there.

But you use a bit of common sense and don't leave valuables out in the open. Just as you don't leave them on the back seat of your car, unless your stupid.

The vast majority of valets, maids etc are honest and would not take something even if you did leave it hanging around.

But as with every single profession, there are some people who will steal given the opportunity.

So use common sense, and you will be fine.

I have never had anything stolen from any room in Vegas.

Just to add. I do think every hotel room in Vegas should have a safe. unfortunately some still don't. (Although you can always leave stuff at the front desk if you need/want to)

Living here, I've almost always use valet services when available.  I will tip when picking up my car, unless I'm going to be only a short time. All tips are pooled and split, so no need to tip when dropping off.  I will tip dropping off if I'm only going to be a short time, then $5.00 up front keeps my car up "front". I've tipped as much as $20.00 on a busy weekend night to get my car faster.  (Give when giving your valet receipt).
I've never had anything stolen out of my car, of course I've never left cash in plan view, but I've left everything else.  These guys and gals make Big $$$ ( a friend of mine makes 6 figures a year at one of the larger Hotels), they aren't going to risk their jobs taking anything from your car.
I see no need to add this expense to your fee to the provider unless discussed upfront.  If she is doing outcalls, she should have figured this expense into her fee, just like gas or taxi costs... don't forget to tip her if she's met or exceeded your expectations

Two differences between valet thieves and maid thieves. You know which maid was in your room. All of the valets can get into your car. Also you valet tickets expressly says they are not responsible for theft from your car, can you imagine trying to make that claim for your room? (They don't for your room).

I have never been questioned and it's not really a big deal. I normally give them $5-$10 for a tip and move on with life.
