Is it unreasonable to ask if a Vegas outcall only provider would obtain a room close to my office so that we could meet?  If I paid her in advance the cost of the room, and her fee?

Or would I look like an idiot for asking?

Its not an unreasonable request.  Its actually very common

Too bad you are in Reno.  But I get up there on business from time to time.  I will look you up then.

As a sidenote, I am looking for today as early as possible.  I know that is short notice, but hoping for the best.
