Look, different strokes for different folks. There are reasons for brothels and guys go to them. Everyone here has told you not to go, but I'll tell you that I went and had a blast.
Reasons to go: legal, no ID required, somewhat less probability of contracting a problem, ability to look the girls over before you buy in.
Cost: I figured it was about 2x what you could pay in LV with an indy. If you're squinching pennies it's not your play, but if you're just out to have fun I think it's more fun than throwing the money away gambling.
Service: Less intimate. You simply are not going to get service as intimate as a session with Roxy. Roxy is a whole lot of fun, even by LV standards. But if you can live without the kissing and BBBJ and uncovered DATY you can still have a great time. And there are plenty of great looking ladies, especially at Sheri's.
Like I said, I went and had a great time - it's an experience and the whole line-up process I thought was a real hoot. I wouldn't go back often, but I could see going back sometime again.
Forget about the menus. Meaningless. Figure out what service you really want, ask first for more, then give up services to get to what you can afford.
I went on a Tuesday night to Sheri's really late, like about 2:30 am. It was nothing to drive there, a nice ride actually. I was there pretty much by myself, maybe one or two other guys were back with the girls. About 18-20 girls lined up for me and I recognized Jade as being my favorite. It helps to look at the weekly lineups online (www.sherisranch.net) because you don't get much time to make your choice. Jade is really fine, I mean fine 
She showed me her menu and she wanted 900 for a one cum straight lay. When I told her what I actually wanted it was much, much more!! I negotiated her down to 680 for a one cum unlimited-position unlimited-caressing/kissing "party" as they call it. No BJ, no DATY, no kissing on the lips, no sticking fingers inside you know where. I didn't negotiate time - she just said I could stay a comfortable time but "not all night". I was with her well over an hour, probably 1-1/2 or more and I had a blast. I think that kind of party would be considerably more in cost if it had been earlier on a weekend night and she had guys waiting on her. Plus I doubt I would have gotten that kind of time with her. But I think she's one of the highest, other girls not so beautiful probably have lower prices.
So there you have my side of it. I wouldn't recommend it as the only thing to do, but as an experience, I think it's kinda cool.
there are lots of Vegas independants who don't really like kissing and who don't do BBBJ's. And there are lots of guys who don't really need or want the level of intimacy that includes DATY.
I didn't say the brothels were a great value compared to independants, I just related my pleasant experience at one. And it was in answer to another gentleman's request for info.
But sorry you didn't appreciate my relating of my experience. Maybe you think guys should only hobby the way you do? Or maybe you don't like the free exchange of information if it doesn't express the same opinions you hold?

I snicker at the rhetoric I read sometimes on nvbrothels. I especially laugh at the "LEGAL" part. I had sex with my wife..that was legal... I had sex with numerous girlfriends..that was legal too... I even went to nightclubs and went home with girls and had sex... that was legal...wasn't it??? "Safe and Legal" is nothing more than marketing BS and an attempt to lay a guilt trip on guys who pay for "companionship". So what, they're just pissed I don't spend my money at the brothels ...
Nobody has pointed out with brothels is that HALF of the fee goes to the house. The other HALF minus expenses (room, board, medical examinations) goes to the lady. I would rather give 100% to an independent and let her spend it however she pleases.
As the "safe" part... I could open up a can of worms on that (CBJ vs. BBBJ) stuff. Yet, I will point out that most of the ladies who do CBJ, allow uncovered DATY. And in the definition according to Nevada Dept. of Health - is not "safe sex". My advice on the "Safe" part is you must educate yourself and decide what kind of risk you are willing to take.
Just because one claims "safe sex" maynot be the opinion of The Center for Disease Control, Nevada Dept. of Health, or medical doctors who treat STDs.

I try to stay out of the debates about the different boards. I like to visit all of them, and I tend to think there is a little something different to be gleaned and appreciated from each.
On you not getting it, that's the beauty of it, you don't have to. I don't get gambling - I'd rather throw my money away in the hobby - but there is a whole city full of people in Las Vegas who seem to like crowding around the craps tables. And they may be smiling or they may be crying, I don't really care - when I'm walking past those tables with a beautiful woman on my arm - buddy you know I'm smiling
I might have the same attitude. For me though, Vegas is just an amusement park. I'm there temporarily, sometimes spontaneously and sometimes other factors besides money weigh in heavily. It's a tourist thing. That's why I said, in reference to the brothels: "I wouldn't go back often, but I could see going back sometime again."
Hey here's one for ya: I lived in Memphis for 25 years. All that time I never went to Graceland. I moved to the east coast last year. This year, on a visit, I went to Graceland, lololol.
You know what? I didn't miss much!!
But ya never know, someday I might go back
