I think I need to see them again.   Saw them in 1992 in Alpine Valley and they put on a great show.  And the contact high was pretty good too, lol.  Any other mature fans besides Drumsticks?   A great, fun guy, but he just isn't my type. :-)

Hello,

I'd like to take someone to a concert here in a couple of months, but I need to get the tickets now. I could of course ask any number lovely providers I've seen, but I'd strongly prefer to take someone who is genuinely a fan of the band. My TER handle contains an allusion to the band that would be known by any fan, so if you are interested, please PM me with their name. :-D (Please don't post it here.)

Since you'll be my date for the evening, I'd prefer someone over 30 for this event. (Anyone younger probably doesn't like the band anyway.)  The evening will include dinner/drinks as well as the concert. If we haven't seen each other before, I'd like to have at least one appointment before the concert so we can get to know each other.

I went to college in Austin and I saw them just recently, last summer at the Brooklyn Bowl.
I don't see any tour date listed for Vegas, though I do see other cities and a tour...
Hmmmmm....

Hm, I don't think you got it because the band plays bigger venues than the Brooklyn Bowl. BTW, I went to grad school at UT Austin. Great city!

I thought you were talking about spoon, considering your handle, but I guess that would have been too easy. ;)

Yeah I thought someone would think that, but like you say Spoon is too obvious. I could give a hint, but why why Z would I? ;-)

...drummer when I can. It's a great song but not easy to dance to. I didn't get the connecton at first 'cuz I was focused on Spooner but when one moves from the name to the numbers, it all becomes clear. When & where will they be performing in Vegas? Still haven't seen them but I really need to.

They are playing July 25th at the MGM. Already got my tickets and will have the company of a lovely Rush fan for my date. :-)

I'm a (long time gigging) bass player and of course I think Geddy Lee is the nuts, even though I play mostly blues. I can only fake my way through part of YYZ, though I've performed Red Barchetta and La Villa Strangiato reasonably well.

...got us a Las Vegas cover band!  :D
And then we add Sweet May on keys, April Luv and Chloe Carter on sweet vocals and Samantha Sommers on guitar well, people might even pay to see us! A guy can always dream  ;)

so would definitely need to be over 30.. hell I'm 36 - born '79 - it's older than me

You know I know who it is :-D

Would love to go.
I will PM you.

Thanks to all who responded! I did indeed make a date with a great provider for the concert.

I first heard this album (& band) when I was about 14, and it blew me away. I find their theme of the value of personal liberty against authority to be still relevant today.

I have several lovely beauties that would be a perfect choice...

let me know what you think, i'd love to chat..
