Welcome to The Sunday Rip-Off Journal (TSROJ). This is the first edition. The Journal will be posted every Sunday, so that you may review the week’s happenings after going through your sports pages. Gentleman, we are at the top of the food chain. This is a public service, to local hobbyist and visiting hobbyist alike. We are sick or rip-off providers in the Las Vegas community and will expose them here as a matter of routine record. These Journals then become an easy searching link on at least the Las Vegas Board searching tool above. This will never get rid of the plague, but it will be a source of information to the entire hobbyist community, of providers to avoid. Many forget, with all the great features that TER has on this website that the food chain begins with the people who support TER by paying as a member or writing reviews. At The Sunday Rip-Off Journal, reviews which are a matter of public record posted in the new reviews section are drawn on for this service. At TSROJ we are not picking on any providers, nor are we searching for the truth. The truth readers, is somewhere between the reviewer, the provider and the people responsible for reviewing the reviews before being posted. This should also be looked at as a service to those beautiful, honest, warm and caring business ladies, who have truth, honesty and passion in their hearts. They are who we seek out for companionship. They too suffer from the reputation of others who make this renowned list of flakes. And for the shill writers who post phony reviews, you too, by association, will be exposed for who you are.
At the end of the month, we will post the most flagrant of all, as the “Rip-Off Provider of the Month”. This should be complete with review and mug-shot of the accused. Any suggestion and/or recommendations will be welcome. Should you run across a rip-off yourself maybe you would want to include it here in the weekly TSROJ. Full credit of course will be given for your discovery.
So obviously caveat emptor. That said, our decisions of who to spend our time with can not be informed decisions unless someone is willing to make the information available. My hat is off to you for this undertaking. Thank you sir!
PS. I hope that I have no future contributions to make but the provider that my earlier post reference has pulled that particular ad although I am certain that there are other ads out there that refer to this particular individual. This was not her first time in the upsell rodeo!
Vegas is sort of a unique city, some of the very best providers in the industry are there, as well as the worst. If this keeps even one hobbiest from being ripped off, it's worth it. If it could cause even one agency to go broke, it would be WAY worth it!
This is a very good idea and I think you should keep it up. Ripoffs in Vegas are very common. I think this project will help the enlightened few, but that is better than noone.
By God Smarty, you're on to something! Maybe it's time for you to go into publishing nationwide. I got taken like hobbyist #2 in Vegas and sent the girl packin' with $300. Funny how the girl that showed up didn't look like the pic. And a nasty attitude as well. Then the phone call where she is yelling at the girl on the phone, telling her I'm not doing any of that for $300. You talk to him, blah blah blah. After 38 years in the hobby and she asks me, "is this your first time baby"? I opened the door and told not asked, told her to leave and make it snappy. Buyer beware eh?
OK, so I travel to Vegas from LA quite a bit, mostly to party. Invariably, I stumble out of clubs at 6am, loaded, buzzed and horny (like almost every other guy), and, as I usually stay at the Rio, I always cruise the talent at the Video Poker bar. Occasionally, I'll take a lady upstairs, but have stopped the last few times I've been to Vegas because either the girl wants $400 to $500 for what will likely be mediocre service, $300 for a BJ, or will quote $200 then try to upsell me the whole time they're in the room and completely kill my "mood." I'll start taking names for the Sunday rip-off journal next time I'm in Vegas!!!!
OMG, Smarty is trying to protect us from ripoff "girls" with profiles on TER! And that is an admirable project! There isn't enough room in Cyberspace to protect us from all the upselling bar girls and disreputable agencies in Las Vegas! By the way, no offense to the one REPUTABLE agency in Las Vegas, whose name cannot be mentioned here.
