Sorry if this is not the place for such a question but I would really like some feed back. Please don't take up board space to answer just send me an e-mail if anyone has any input.
When I first moved here I spent more time away then here so I have kept my old (727) area code phone ( that is also the phone I have been advertizing with for 3 years) My first month here I hooked up a 702 with sprint but it was horrible and I could not understand any messages and it constantly droped calls so I droped it.... Now that I am here most of the time I would like to get either a local number or a 800 number one that could dail and recieve international calls is a plus too. I know that no cell service is great and they don't work in the casinos but ladies or gentelmen if you really love or hate your cell service please let me know thanks for all info in advance!!

Oh Yea..... By the way..... I am working here in Town this week and next week from noon to midnight and would love to meet some new people. PLease book your appointment at least a day in advance for lots of pics please check out my website

AT&T Wireless is going through a conversion from TDMA to GSM (they brand GSM as mmode).  TDMA (old service, only one that has nationwide plans) in LV is pretty good (can't say the same for Chicago and Atlanta when I called customer service and one of the agents flat out told me that TDMA with the small Nokia phones sucked).  There's this butt ugly Siemens phone that is dual mode TDMA/GSM that AT&T currently offers.  If you can wait, I'd wait for the next set of phones to be offered for mmode before jumping in.  BTW, the GSM service (AT&T's at least) in LV is a bit spotty in places (no signal, dropped calls).  YMMV :-)

I know AT&T offers international service (both dial out and incoming).  IMO, if you go out of the country, you're better off picking up a local prepay phone and letting people know what that number is instead of keeping your main mobile number working out of the country (with the roaming rates plus high per min charges for having your number working internationally, it doesn't seem to be worth it).

Thanks for all the advice BOB
Yes my 727 number is AT&T and it works fine here not so great in Chicago....What I need the international cell for is when I go there I need to call home and make sure my pettsitter is doing what she is suppose to be doing and that my dogs are all okay.
When I was in Australia my cell didn't work and it cost a bundel to call home form payphones and hotels....it was ouchie. I use AT&T but I was hoping there was something better out there. I went to a store to talk to a rep about it and they had not phones and no service...scary!! I know some girls have 1-800 cells for people calling them from homes and offices and AT&T dosen't offer that...I don't have any kids to explain M-Life to me so I have not quite figured that out yet
I have enough trouble with e-mail and dreamweaver!!!thanks aagain!! Veronica

LOL!!  Too funny!  I just asked a similar question on a Chicago and Boston board.

I've had AT&T here in Vegas for over 4 years and I haven't had any problems except for a certain part of Green Valley.  It works fine in Philly, NYC, Boston, Miami, Key Largo, SLC, LA, Seattle the Cayman Islands, etc.  Horrible coverage in San Diego, Chicago and Bermuda.  No coverage in Australia.
