I'm fairly new to the hobby, but what I noticed is many providers quote extravagant rates (i.e. above $$$$). My question is, how do I go about negotiating the price - without coming across as a cheapo?

I know that a lot of ladies are not firm with there rates, but I don't wanted to sour my experience by haggling for precious minutes (or hours??). I guess I'm kind of paranoid that ladies will agree to a lower price, and then "give" less.

You don't negotiate.   You pay the price they post on the web site and go away a happy man.  There are some ladies who have even stated on their sites not to attempt to negotiate.  Look around and find a lady who is in your price range.  The rates in Vegas range from around $$1/2 to $$$$$ and hour.  From what I hear from others that is a bit more then some other places, but in Vegas it's what the markets will bear.   If you don't want to pay that price go someplace else to hobby.

I agree with Bigpoppa.  The stated rates are very reasonable in most cases.  Pick the provider with the best reveiws.  You will have the time of your life.  You will also have the best sex without the cost of maintaining a wife or girlfriend.  I have not found a provider that was over priced.  "Do Not Negotiate"  "Have Fun Be Happy".

Most of the providers with negotiable rates are agency girls.  And since you're a newbie, almost all agency girls=bad news.  Here's an idea.  Instead of trying to negotiate a lower price.  Why not wait a couple weeks so you have some more money and then go with a well reviewed provider.  At least this way you know you won't be getting ripped off.  Your experience should be about the good stuff not your negotiating skills.

Big Poppa is right, and the reality is, the 1-3 hour appointment range is most ladies bread and butter, so to speak.

I'd add though, that on longer dates, several hours or days, there may be room to negotiate. Frankly, and this point of view won't win me any friends in LV, I love Vegas, and it's fine ladies and see them for shorter "dates", but I can do better on rates for a two or three day appointment, by flying someone in from elsewhere, even factoring in airfare. When someone asks to negotiate my one hour rate (which is middle of the road, not high for the area), it makes me think his funds are pretty tight and he probably shouldn't be doing this in the first place. This is an expensive hobby.

Anyway, if this happens, I decline his appointment request, telling him I'm busy, and give the time slot to a gentleman who doesn't ask to negotiate.

Rule #1 - You should never negotiate.  The lady has determined what rate she feel comfortble receiving for spending time with a gentlemen.  You are only going to taint the experience, if she even sees you, when you try to negotiate.  If you feel the rate is too high, scan the reviews and see what other ladies are available in the price range you are looking for.

We are all aware that $$ is part of the hobby, but it is a subject that is not to be discussed.  Do your homework.  Scan the reviews and her website.  Make your selection, make your appointment, and enjoy your time with each another.

I'm going to respectfully disagree with the crowd on this one. The rates quoted on websites are not carved in stone and there are many variables.  I don't think you want to get into haggling back and forth, but you can easily make one try to get the deal you want.  Just make an offer, "I have xxx to spend and I am looking for xxx (time)".  Some will say no, and many will say yes if your offer is reasonable.

If you have a little less to spend, check out visiting providers.  Many girls come to Las Vegas thinking this is the land of 500/hr.  After sitting around the hotel a few days, having a few flaky guys no-show on them, they are receptive to a reasonable offer.

Remember, the key word is reasonable.  If a girl posts a rate of 400 an hour, don't try to offer 100 and make a steal. Maybe offer a little over the hourly rate and ask for two hours.

Finally, you probably can't negotiate with some of the more well-known, well-established, highly review providers.  These girls already have an established clientele that are willing to pay the top dollar.  But there are many girls here in Las Vegas that have more slow days than busy days, and they are receptive if you approach it like a gentleman.  Don't be insulting, just make your offer and see what happens.  If she says no, thank her and move on.  If she says yes, you have a little extra dough in your pocket that you will probably lose on a blackjack table anyway!

Just my opinion, it's worked for me.

Generally, the well established independent providers with great reputations will not discount their posted rates, esp for 1 hour calls.  If you're looking at something longer term (like someone said, more than 3 hours) you might be able to negotiate a different rate and still be able to have a great time.  Given the nature of the business around here (for the local providers, they had to put up with 0 deposits, flaky guys who cancel at the last minute or don't return calls or lose all their money at the tables/machines, etc.), you're not going to see a lot of haggling with the good ones.

If you do decide to go this route and try and talk down the rates, I would expect a less than stellar performance since whoever you're with will consider it more work, less fun type situation.  The margin here is about $25-50/hour.  Anything more will come off as insulting.  If anything, I've seen the good providers who move and stay here raise their rates to balance out their time and demand, which isn't going to solicit any good responses to your query for cheaper rates.

There are some good providers here that will charge $350/hour or less and you'll need to check with reviews for those (get a VIP membership to find them here).

I think you have probably been browsing boards dedicated to the brothels in Nevada. The current climate with the girls in the brothels is over charge whatever they can get away with. Up to 3 times what you might spend in Vegas. Trust me if you pick one of the great independents in Vegas, and I do stress independents, you will be quite happy with the results and feel you more than got your moneys worth. Check out TER's reviews list for the Las Vegas area. Many great ladies listed there.

The rule is that you do not negotiate with independents, especially not after they arrive to see you.  You could attempt to bring up the subject in an email, but most likely you will have no luck.  If a lady quotes a fee in advance, and you agree to it, and she comes to see you and does not try to raise the rate, you should not try to negotiate

However, the agencies that advertise in the phone book and in handbills on the Strip expect haggling.  For one thing, they will never quote you the actual full cost on the phone.  They will give you a rate, but this only covers the lady's arrival, and after arriving she will then quote another rate for any activities.  Decide in advance the max you are willing to pay.  When she gives her first quote, counter-offer with an amount that puts your desired fee halfway between both of your first offers.  If you are not happy, send her away, or better yet, do not use these agencies.
