On my last few trips to town I've tried to set up appointments with well-reviewed providers that I haven't met before. About a month in advnance I've sent polite e-mail with ample verification information, but have gotten no reply whatsoever.  

I realize that emergencies occur and providers are sometimes traveling, but in ordinary circumstances I wish they would blow me off quickly with a polite "Sorry but our schedules
don't fit" rather than make me wait a week or two before moving on to the next name on my list.

You're an unknown to the community, and have no reviews.  That doesn't make it right by any means.  I'm 2 for 4 so far this week, and I live here.

As a rule, you aren't going to get that polite decline from the LV ladies.  They simply have too many requests to handle.  It sucks, but it's just the way of the land here.  That's a generalization, and there are some that are VERY good communicators (and good at other stuff too).  Good luck in your future endeavors.
