Can anyone tell me if there is security at the elevators at the Mandalay?  Thanks in advance.

yes, they are posted by all elevators.

From my experience, it's the ladies of the evening that are posted at the elevators at Mandalay - Especially on the weekends!  Security - ya right!

.. they don't need security guards when they have video cams.. they're everywhere, even in the elevators (look up at the lights, you'll see 'em!)..  they know exactly what's going on at all times.  If ya want to play around try the smaller hotels around the outskirts of the Strip..

Ture, even the smaller palaces have tons of cameras hidden and unhidden.  When I was in town this June  my youner boy would count cameras as we walked through the casinos.  He would come up with at least 100 each time.  When we stay at the Mandalay there was no one at he elvators to look at guest keys.  The Orleans has always had people there, it's never been a big deal to get a lady up to the room though.

I stay there all time, it's a fav hotel. There is no security checking keys at the elevators so I've never had problems with ladies coming to my room, but meeting them in lounges there can be tough since they do a thorough job of escorting women out of there so probably not a good idea to have her meet you down there first.

The easest thing to do is ask the lady you plan to spend time with. The experienced ladies will know the set up at the major casinos and will tell you if it is better for you to meet them in the lobby.
