I would prefer to stay at a hotel where I don't have to meet my guest in the lobby.  Please recommend some nice hotels which don't have guards posted at the elevators.

At hotels that have a key check, can the guard call your room and have you give the OK for a guest to come up?  Or is the only option for you to come down and meet her in the lobby?

That's why I love to stay at the Embassy Suites. No security what so ever. She can come right up to your room.

Mandalay Bay is a beautiful hotel, and I have yet to see a security gaurd at the elevators.

why bother?

Every hotel/casino has lots of surveillance throughout the property so having the extra physical presence at the guest elevator WILL NOT affect your appointment with a provider.  There is no privacy in Vegas, just discretion.

Two (or three) options if security is at the elevators:

1) Meet your provider in a public place and escort her up to your room.
2) Have security call up to the room and let her go up.
3) They have their own way of getting past the guards and coming up.

If a provider as a problem with the casino/hotel you're staying at, it's probably because they have been banned from the property and risk arrest for trespassing.

Given the above, it's actually nice to have an extra body protecting the guest floors.  You have a lot of crazy people running around and I'd rather not have them on my floor.  Security is just trying to keep the riff raff from wandering the halls.

So please, if privacy is what you want, don't stay in Las Vegas, or at least on the strip.  Don't stay at a property that has a casino (doesn't mean that they don't have cameras all over the place).  If someone really wanted to place you and a provider together, it will happen.  Just be happy that in the big scheme of things, you don't really matter enough to be worth checking on.

Add Orleans and Bellagio to 'guards at elevators' list.

Tuscany Suites which is about 1/4 mile off the strip on Flamingo. Nice hotel with 100% suites.
All rooms open to the outside so absolutely no issues with elevators or key checks. She can drive right up to your door almost.
I stayed there last month and would definitely consider again.
Youre right about The Orleans and Bellegio. Ive stayed at both and they definitely check though as Quzi points out its to keep the rifraf out not impare anyones' social life. Its a little irritating but they mean well and I appreciate their efforts. Ive never been given a hard
time though occasionally I have gotten some guy who comes across like he is the "The Man" and you better cough up that key or this is going to get personal. This is not the norm though
as most guys have been very plolite.
Good luck to you and Happy New Year everyone.

Almost all of the major upscale hotels will require them. At the Aladdin, they have 6 elevators and do not check room keys. Their "Strip Suites" and "Panorama Suites" are very well appointed. Some of the Suites even have authentic movie memorabilia!

Was @ Luxor before t-giving, they got rid of the guards, but you needed a room key to work the elevators - unless you can time it to get on with someone else, and ask them to drive (use their key - any key activated all floors).
