I have never had a duo provider experience and I had a question.  Let's say I am enjoying some "insider time" with provider number 1 and I wanted to switch to provider number 2.  Is there a requirement to change the cover? Again, I have never had the pleasure of this experience, so I wanted to know what the protocol was.

at least in my limited experience, the condom gets changed when you change between ladies.   Unless the ladies are using female condoms, then it's not necessary.  

+1 for female condom when you are enjoying two ladies.
