Since I do not live in Florida I am not 100% sure of the laws in Florida , BUT ,
I do know Florida's wiretapping law is a two party consent law .
Florida makes it a crime to intercept or record a wire , oral or electronic communication in Florida ,
unless ALL parties to the communication consent.
I think there is an exception if for purpose of criminal activity or as such then it becomes a one party consent law.........although not sure as I haven't studied Florida Laws.
NOW when it comes to Las Vegas , well for some reasons we have a lot of loop holes and grey areas ........maybe because when the Mob was in control of Las Vegas , wiretapping laws were not totally defined as they were in many other US states . ( this is just my personal theory )
Ever since the mob has left Las Vegas , no one really took a deeper look into wiretapping laws.
NOW I am not a lawyer ( yet LOL LOL

and unless something has changed
in Las Vegas laws since the last time I did brush up on the law ( I guess I should take yearly classes , to keep up if any changes

)
Then from my knowledge Las Vegas Nevada is an "all party consent" state.
Every party to a phone conversation ( or any type of recording ) needs to give permission in order for the call to be wiretapped legally.
It's legal for the police to wiretap phones to aid in a certain criminal investigations.
BUT the police is required to follow strict procedural rules such as obtaining a court order before conducting the wiretap. ( unless there's an emergency situation making it impractical to do so )
NOW , with that said , does LE follow the law ???? well not always ....... check this out -
http://www.lasvegassun.com/news/2012/apr/04/law-enforcement-using-cellphones-track-suspe/#axzz2W8oNXNKx WELL, LE can record illegally whatever they want.
BUT , will it later actually hold up in court is a whole other story .
I'm guessing with a very good lawyer and just the right judge

, probably not OR may depend on the crime.
A serious Felony , maybe .
A misdemeanor ......good luck with that.
LE is still required to follow the law.
This is part of the reason that many cases get thrown out of court because LE doesn't follow the law.
Last I checked we are not living in a POLICE country or police state ........ well at least not yet LOL LOL LOL LOL
Therefor it is important for every citizen to learn and know their rights and the laws of whatever state they live in.
This way LE can't intimidate you or break the law to trap you ........ because YOU know the law and can stand up for your rights .
In recent news regarding NSA surveillance capabilities , I don't know why people seemed so shocked that this has been going on.
I mean even before the days of such advanced technology , the days of Hoover and Nixon , wiretapping has been going on.
and just got worst the day Bush signed the Patriot Act.
While I don't live my life worrying or obsessing over the possibility of just an everyday US citizen
being wiretapped or surveilled........ I have always taken in consideration of - "what if"
and tried as much as possible to reduce any type of invasion of my privacy.
Reason why I don't have a hotmail/yahoo/gmail email accounts.
Don't have facebook , Don't do twitter ....
but really don't need all of that stuff.
While I know I can't 100% protect everything , you can still try as much as you can.
there are many other things I do , but I can't reveal in public all of my secrets
Now adding to my resume
Attorney CindySpice LOL LOL LOL LOL
