maybe we will!
Just a Lighthearted question?
1.What show is your favorite to see (for hobbyist and Provider) ?
2. What show would you like to see with a provider ?
3. Providers: Do you like attending a show with a Hobbyist, or do you prefer to go with friends ?
4. Providers: Any show you have NOT seen and would like to see ?
maybe this should be on a different board - but I would like to know what the ladies enjoy seeing.
I just Heard that Clint Eastwood is making the Jersey Boys movie....so this topic was on my mind. I was never able to follow-through on a promise I made with my Dad about taking to see Jersey Boys - TFI, sorry
Just in case no one replies to my question....I wanted to ad my own comment
I have never seen any show with a provider...it is a dream of mine - that one day I will be able to take a provider to a show with me.
Best fun show (was) Mama Mia
Best New Rock of Ages
Best oldie: Jersey Boys
Best Cirque: Zumanity (must be with sexy lady)
Best show memory Phantom (5 years ago I took my late aunt - she cried and loved it so much
Zumanity? Are you kidding? WORST Vegas show of all time!
There is not enough Cirque and too much Soleil.
Why do I not like it? The show is NOT advertised as topless which is upsetting when seeing the show with FAMILY. Awkward! On top of that the acrobatics were lacking and quite blasé. The most interesting act was removed when two performers fell some time ago. Lastly: there were NO sets to speak of, just crummy props.
Way better shows in Vegas for the money. Sorry I am very passionate about how much I dislike Zumanity.
My saying for Zumanity is "there went an hour of my life I can't forget and won't get back"
For a REAL Cirque show see O.
Ka was good but O was better by a lot.
Fun show: Tournament of Kings (LOL, I love medieval times)
New show: Well, I'd rather see O over and over than take a chance on a new show
Old show: Cher of course! (Still want to see it)
Cirque: O O O O O and O!
Memory: During O when the divers get beached and flop around (or the guy on fire reading the paper)
So can you tell I loved O?
See O if you haven't. It will blow every other show out of the water (PUN INTENDED).
Enjoying activities outside of the bedroom gives you another outlook on your partner that I love.
You get to see them let their hair down and relax no pressure to be pleasing or anything required .
I have found attending shows with a client has been very rewarding and enjoyable . We see another side to one another . We're able to laugh and joke and relax .
I am a music lover and everyone that knows me is fully aware of my wide variety of music that I enjoy.
I prefer concerts with someone who enjoys the same music as myself.
Take your experience to the next level and trying taking your companion out to a concert or show.
With the right person it can be very fun and rewarding .

I also prefer grabbing a drink then seeing music. Its a bit more laid back and relaxed and, the crowd is more fun - LA is better for smaller bands and jazz, than LV.
April and I went to Terry Fator last December. Was surprised at how good it was. He does a Christmas special most of the month. I haven't been to his show other then that, but it was pretty good.
Never been to that show - I will put in my list. I have heard a ton of good things about it.
One of the best shows in Vegas ! I've seen it several times with the same lovely lady ! We both had a great time .
I like this topic!
I have seen so many..
1) blue man group (3x it's that's good! The second time they took me on stage for the twinkee part.)
2) penn & teller (it was ok. More tricks lets political.)
3) Zumanity (in a love seat with a client - the only good thing about it)
4) jubilee (loved it!)
5) peep show w/holly (barf)
6) peep show take two w/coco (amazinggggg!! Her man was two rows in front of us, that was akward.)
7) Cher (oh my god! It's Cher! My seat was fourth row at the side so between her and I was a short barricade about as high as my hip!)
8) jabbawockeez (this list is in no way order of favorites - they were so good!!!)
9) Beatles cirque (ehhh no thanks. I left part the way through to play craps)
10) million dollar quartet (loved it! Would totally see it again!)
11) Frank marinos divas (great!)
I so want someone to take me to absinthe!! It's on the top of my list!
Second on my list? BRITNEY!!!
I promise I won't leave part of the way through to play craps, oh wait... You will probably be wanting to do the same! Lol!
Did anyone else hate Ka as much as I did; or did I just catch the show on a bad night!
Blue Man Group is great. I saw the show twice in its original home, at the Astor theatre (?) in New York when *nobody* knew what the heck it was. It first opened at the Luxor in Vegas in 2000, and has moved a few times since. I think I've taken three different bunches of (civvie) friends to see it since. I would see it again with a provider if I thought they would enjoy it.
Penn & Teller is also lots of fun.
Cirque: When Mystere and then O hit town, I thought they were excellent. After that, the string kind of played itself out. Haven't really enjoyed any of them since. Saw Zumanity once with wife (meh) when it first opened, earlier this year with a provider (more fun, but still not a great show). Any guy who wants to see this show anyway: I strongly advise springing for the love seats up front AND taking at least two providers with you (the house will happily accommodate a party of three or four, as long you're all happy to squeeze in)--then drape a trench coat across everybody's laps and let the fun begin.
I did see Zarkana with a provider a few months ago. Show was just ok, company was great. LeReve (not technically a Cirque show, but done by several former Cirque'ers) was boring. And even though I'm saying all these not-so-great things about Cirque, I'm such a sucker for The Beatles that I would like to see Love at some point.
Prolly the most fun show I've seen in Vegas was one that nobody else cared for: "Avenue Q"--I don't think it lasted even a year at Wynn--but I loved it. If you can ever catch it on tour in another city, definitely check it out.
Every once in a while, "Davi Sings Sinatra" pops up in town, and I've missed it every time Some younger providers might not appreciate it, but Davi more or less channels Frankie--I have the album and it's a fun reminder of the "old" Vegas.
I'm only vaguely aware of Absinthe--will have to check that one out.
Oh, and I know this will make me sound like a curmudgeon, but I HATED Mama Mia, sorry....
Great topic, OP, thanks for starting.

I saw that in London!! I loved it!!
I have seen so many shows in New York and other cities, if I started listing them well...
Totally agree, great topic!
saw a show my last trip to Vegas that involved cats doing tricks. Very impressive despite the fact I'm not a big fan of cats. I did make the mistake of going alone, wearing a Penn State Football shirt, about a month after the Sandusky scandal came out. People actually moved there children away from me. I can see how a single guy at a pet comedy show might be a bit creepy, but I was there for the animals. If I go again my next trip maybe I should pay for a date to avoid the nasty looks.
Besides a general dislike of Zumanity, there does not appear to be any overall favorite show,
Probably O is tops on the list.
One show I do remember enjoying was Spamalot. It was planing at Wynn and starred John O'hurley. That was a funny show.
Going back in history - The first show I ever saw was Enter the Night, played at stardust I think (or was it Frontier)
Most Jaw dropping experience - I admit it - when I saw Celine Dion Live (during her first run). I could not believe how good she sounded. Too bad I was alone at the time.
I always wanted to return to see her again - with a provider of course; but I have not had the opportunity.
Great responses
particularly if you are over 50 and can remember Franki Vallie and the Four Seasons. It is half play and half music. The career of the Four Seasons and then about 20 of their best songs played live and perfectly mimicked like the real Four Seasons. Never see a show twice, but have seen this one 3 times.
