I wanted to get a girl I have seen a gift. I saw her for a minimal amount of time before, but it has been in my head ever since. How much is a reasonable amount to spend on a gift?

It's really up to you how much you spend, if anything.  In this economy, a repeat appointment might go over especially well.

I think most ladies appreciate the thought, regardless of how much you spend on a gift. That said, just make sure you spend an amount that you are comfortable with. If you spend too much because you want to impress the lady, you might find yourself feeling like she owes you something and relations between the two of you may deteriorate.

- It is a very good point.

A gift card is a great idea (although it is very similar to cash and kind of impersonal). Gifts are a good way to let the provider know you are trying to go above and beyond for her. I always appreciate someone that is willing to offer such a kind gesture, regardless of what the gift is.

A nice purse will get the job done. Plus it is something she will use all the time.

Also sunglasses are a winner. But girls can be very specific on what type.

I like to give them a nice bottle of alcohol (champagnes, wine, vodka, or whatever they are into) as gifts. Hopefully they have a fun experience when they are with their friends.

If they don't drink then let me know. I will have a plan B for you.

Sometimes I will ask the girl if she would like to have a drink during our time together and if so, what drink does she prefer. I have been told I am a gentleman by more than one lady with that.

Another suggestion for a gift is to take he shopping personally. Not only does this give you time to talk to her and feel her out so your quality is that much better, but she also gets to pick the gift herself so you it will be something she likes.
