Maybe just my common sense .......... but how does "not having a new review in awhile, translate into not active" ??
Short list of reasons why an active lady hasn't had a new review in awhile.

 Many of her clients are repeats.
 Clients she saw since her last "new review" already wrote reviews of her.
 Lady doesn't force clients to write reviews.
 Not every client feels comfortable writing a review.
 Client wrote a review , it was rejected......... He wrote one again , still rejected....... he got tired of trying to post review

Do you see where I am going with this ???  

I would think if someone is no longer active their site will be down. or maybe you won't find ads on the net and of course they wouldn't be answering emails.

So please lets get beyond -no new reviews = not active ......... I hear this way too much.

While every lady has her own screening process , I relay on no one but myself to do my screening. 
So it doesn't matter if you belong to date-check , p411 or other.
I still will need to screen you MY way  

Does a lady see locals ??? Well I assume if she doesn't ...... Her ad or website will say so.
but I say never assume anything. Just send a quick short email asking a lady you wish to see if she see locals.
Short and simple.
I don't feel that is a waste of time. If a lady doesnt answer then I would simply move on.

Been lurking on this board and this site for well over a year now. Though I am not new to the business it has been a while since I have partaken. I am seriously considering a return to the festivities and I have a couple of questions that I hope that you fine people can help me with. First - I have been with TER-rated providers in the past however they have not had any reviews in a while which makes me think they may no longer be active. Since those would be my only references, which service do most Vegas providers prefer? I have heard good things about P411 and some good and some not-so-good about DateCheck. Or is there another one out there? I realize that many providers will not see me even with this - that they will not see someone without a true, live reference, which I respect. But I would like to at least make myself eligible to actually see some of these lovely providers on this site instead of just "window-shopping" as I am now. I think I have sat on the sidelines long enough.

The other question is about locals. I live here in Vegas and am sometimes unable to tell from the ads or the provider websites themselves which providers cater to locals and which don't. I "assume" that if one of the questions on her inquiry form asks for which hotel you are staying at, that her services are exclusively for out of town visitors but I could be wrong. Back when I was much more active, ads specified services to locals and if they did not that usually meant no. Please understand that I am not asking anybody to do my leg-work for me, I just don't want to waste anybody's time barking up the wrong tree, so to speak.  From the time I have spent on this board and this site people on this board are generally very helpful and are good resources.

References aren't not always needed.
Plenty of ways to screen someone with out a reference.
Yes some ladies will only see you if you have a reference, and that is ok.
Each lady does whatever makes her feel comfortable.

If you are without references , you'll just have to find the ladies who don't require them.

Every lady screens differently.  So jump in with two feet  As for ladies seeing locals.  Every lady is different again.  Most of us put hotel on our screening form because even though Vegas is large, there isn't much of a local base for the hobby.  

I agree with Cindy, send an email addressing both of your concerns and go from there

One thing stands out to me on your post. It is that you say you were active and not now and girls you saw have not had reviews for some time, which in turn makes you feel they retired.

The lack of reviews has been address by Dr. Spice and I will not speak to that. However, to add to her right on advice I would send and email to these target ladies you have seen before. Ask them if they remember you and if so, would they be kind enough to be a reference for you. That is an answer there. If they do not reply that is an answer as well.

You seem to be a reasonable honest outgoing fella, but I would ask in the past no reviews? Even if the girls might be retired that can act as a screening item. Not the full answer but it helps a little. They would look at your reviews anyway if you were lucky to get a date. I know they say they don't. Trust me, they DO.

Since no reviews, and you state "I think I have sat on the sidelines long enough.", good idea. But that should be more than just the test question for a thread. What I mean is get active now that you have jumped in with both feet. Join the discussions and you will be surprised what you may learn. Or, what you might be able to contribute. It is a way for the gals to get to know your board persona as well.

Most to the local girls might know the hotels in and out. But that is Vegas. With 70,000 rooms you can clearly imagine where most BCD stuff goes on. That does not mean they do not see locals. You just have to ask as Tasha and Cindy mentioned. Send them a short email. Make it brief to get a response and talk like you did above. If they don't see locals you probably will not even hear from them.

As for the referral agencies Date-Check and P411 are the only ones worth using here in this area. Now if you were traveling the mid-west there are others. I prefer P411 though I have been a lifetime member of both for a long time.

Bottom line is use a multitude of things to get known by the girls and get started. WTF, all they can do is say NO right? lol  I think most of the time the girls are very professional and have their own way of screening or can get creative for you. Just be nice present yourself as a non-threat and things will clearly work out for you. Don't forget, everyone on here started out as a newbie at one time.

PS: If you can get the slightest of clearance items you might be eligible to attend a Meet & Greet here. Boy, that is a time you meet a lot of girls and just talk and get to know them. It is pretty stringent in getting approved for a M & G, but you can again try and see what you need to do.

I've always wondered. Why do so few Vegas locals "hobby?"

Actually, I'm not sure the premise of your question is correct. It kind of SEEMS like that considering that about 90% of the business in Las Vegas comes from visitors. But I suspect that the percentage of hobbyists per capita is close to the same in Vegas as in any other city.

I remember those days. Forget it. Almost all of them see locals now. Unless they specifically say otherwise in their website or ad, assume they cater to locals. If they ask which hotel you'll be at, all I assume is that they probably won't come to my home.

Contact the lady of your choice.  Introduce yourself.  Tell her you are interested in scheduling an appointment.  At that point, she will inquire about screening information.  If you can be screened to her satisfaction, make the date.  If you can't, move on to another lady, as she may have different screening procedures.  If you are legitimate, you will eventually hook up with one of the lovely Las Vegas ladies.  It's that simple!

I think the majority that do hobby either stick to the regulars that they see, or troll the fun boards like CL and BP.  Or there is always the ones who go to the casinos and roll the dice  Also, living in a town like Vegas you have to choose gambling or girls lmao.  I think some might find their funds low after a craps game or BJ table.

This is why I like this board - helpful feedback and input from all and it is much appreciated. I actually did not discover TER until shortly after I ended my run the first time around - I went ahead and picked up a VIP membership anyway because I thought it would be a great resource and it definitely has been. It has taught me a great deal and made me realize how naive I was the first time around because I was basically working blindly. In addition, it has introduced me to a new world of classy providers - the kind I had been looking for all along. With the way things are these days there is now no other place I would trust for my information. Thank you.

Either Cindy or Tasha would be great choices.  I've seen both of them and they are great ladies.
