$$$ to $$$$ wont get you much in the Pahrump brothels ..Plus the rules in effect put a real damper on the experience for many.
If you want, drive out and have a drink at the bar and find out how the game is played. I think you'll be much better served staying in Vegas. Best of luck to you.

The brothels in Pahrump take half of the amount you negotiate with your lady. On top of that the girls also pay for their own weekly medical checks as well as paying room and board at the brothel. So keep in mind that  a $400 date for 30 minutes may seem like good money to you. To her it is more like $100-150 in her pocket. The bar setup at Sher's is appealing to some, in that you can talk to the girls and perhaps determine whether you are compatible. However all money negotiations are supposed to be conducted back in their room. The rooms are bugged. If you want to tip do so without speaking of it. The house claims 50% of that too. If you have never been I would recommend it as a one time experience after all its the only place in the country that has it. After that you can decide if it is worthwhile to repeat. I believe every man should experience a brothel lineup once in their lifetime. I liken it to a trip to Basken Robbins. All those favors to choose from.

Although your budget even back then wouldn't be enough.
All Brothels take a 50% cut........well it isn't cheap running a brothel.
then ladies have other expenses like someone mentioned , and also other expenses not mentioned but that is a whole other post .

Independents also have plenty of expenses , but at least there is no % cut that needs to be paid out .
So while the thought of hanging out , chatting with half naked ladies may seem exciting ...
you will not get the most bang for your buck ...... No pun intended

With your budget you are better off sticking with a well reviewed independent .......unless you want to spend your dollars on a - "been there done that experience ,maybe I was better off not doing that "

The best thing IMO about brothels is the knowledge that every week these girls are tested. We only have the word of independent providers that they are getting tested and I am sure the vast majority are telling the truth. However for the hobbiest who is paranoid to the max about stds,brothels provide a degree of protection that is comforting. You should however expect to pay twice what you would for an escort for the same amount of time in Las Vegas. The other big advantage that brothels have is that they are legal. No Le worries

But only if you can't get screened and lock up an appointment with one of the fabulous ladies of Las Vegas!  I believe it's about an hour drive (or Limo ride) out to the nearest hohouse, but the ride back into town will be faster 'cause you'll be travelin' much lighter........in the wallet!  JMO!  

Now if you're absolutely PARANOID about getting busted.... that's another issue!

I whole heartedly agree about the value of Las Vegas girls. There is one house that is a 2 and a half hour drive on the road to Tonopah called the Shady Lady. Only 3 girls all milfs 30-45 but attractive. They have a website with prices posted and pictures. You obviously need a rental car to get there and not much to see on the way. There is one small casino about a half hour before you get there. It is a long drive but much cheaper than the Pahrump ladys.

At the brothel girls are tested weekly for HIV ...... not all STD's.
A panel for everything is done first time they ever arrive.

Here's a link to the latest state regulations on mandatory HIV/STD testing for sex workers at the NV brothels (see below).  HIV/Syphilis tests are done monthly.  All other STDs tests are done on a weekly basis.  Brothels that allow anal intercourse, also require rectal specimens for testing.

In response to the OP's original question, I use to frequent the brothels quite often in the early-mid 2000.  I still have several friends who frequent both the northern and southern brothels today, so they keep me informed on the latest news.

The brothels are a niche market for those who need to play legal and safe or for those who are afraid to go the indie/escort route.  If you've never been to one, it's worth a visit just to see how the "legal system" works, even if you don't decide to party with any of the ladies.  Also, be prepared for sticker shock if you take a tour with a lady and try to negotiate a party.  An uninformed newbie is a prime target for getting ripped off with high prices and upsells to VIP/bungalow parties.

Personally, I would recommend staying in Vegas and seeing a well reviewed indie, unless a brothel visit is on your bucket list.

Well good to know that additional STD testing has been enforced...... They should have done that long ago.

Both times Partying it up with the boys. Last time was on a slow Vegas night and we got a wild hair up our ass to call Sheri's and have a limo come pick us up to take us out there. (Bring your own booze for the ride.)

The line up is a trip as is sitting around drinking / playing pool with girls in lingerie. (Sounds like a damn good idea for a M&G... hint, hint to a certain somebody to get that M&G on.)

We actually had a blast and I did hook up with a hottie working there from SD after a couple of drinks with her that knew a shitload about football. Las Vegas local here and they are absolutely not woth the trip. I frequented Sheris Ranch before I started seeing local escorts exclusively and I feel stupid for throwing all that money away to be honest.

I've literally seen dozens of girls at Sheris (and a few at the Chicken Ranch) and there have been maybe 2-3 that weren't robotic clock watchers. Also, If you like kissing (and I think most people do) you can pretty much forget it. There are a few ladies who will kiss, but in my experience it was maybe ~20%. It was a frustrating experience on every trip to find a girl who would kiss. Finally, as has already been stated, the drive sucks. There is a complimentary limo, but it's not really complimentary because it comes off the price of the party (20%!). So now the girl is only getting 30% instead of 50%, which means you're going to be paying more obviously.

There are some good-looking girls at Sheris - no doubt. Some knockouts to be honest. However, a cursory review of the top Las Vegas TER escorts will find you girls of the same caliber in the looks department.

I had to respond to this thread because my experience has been so much better going the independent route. Other than a few blow offs/non responders, every well-reviwed lady I've actually hooked up with from TER has been aces.
