Made a choice of hotel, and THEN read about it!

Fucking yikes!!!

Will call Southwest tomorrow and upgrade to a smarter one.

Not that it really matters anyway, considering the circumstances, but still want to be in a better place. Physically, mentally, and spiritually.

Know what I'm sayin'?! ;)

Peace, all! And thanks for your input!

If you're not interested in the "other vices" of Vegas, then I'd choose a hotel off strip.  One that's convenient for your date.  I'd suspect most of those are pretty much "hassle-free" with respect to room access.  Sounds like you're going with one of SWA's "Fly and Stay" packages, but I've always found good deals on Hotwire.  Their breakdown into rating and location categories is helpful.

This is an average of weekday and weekend rates. It was in the paper last week. The hotels have been running specials to keep occupancy up. You can get some great rates, especially during the week.
