Ladies-Only Poker Night The Silverton's recent hosting of 102.7 FM's "Pink Poker" events must have been a success, as the property is launching its only regular ladies-only poker nights. Beginning tonight, May 16, the property launches a weekly, ladies-only tournament at 9 p.m. every Friday. A $37 buy-in gets each participant $2,000 in chips and one of 30 seats in the tournament. Players also have the option to purchase an additional $1,000 in tournament chips for $3 at registration. Entry's limited to female Discovery Club members and those interested in playing are encouraged to visit the Silverton's poker room for complete rules and prize structure breakdown.

I was joking when I said you are sick, but now I'm really starting to wonder! Lol!

T.L.

yeah i know TL

I worry about myself too.

I was only one out at the pool and it was raining, but i had my big urban sombrero hat on, 1000SPF, and I did run into the RED BULL girls (I thought they were ready to blast into outer space with their cute red bull backpack outfit they were wearing. They were passing out, opps, bad choice of words, they were handing out free samples of new cola drink).

Is it just me, or is this poker phase getting out of control. I mean, give me a break --now that pokergent is gone from board i can say this (in my best andy rooney imitation). This poker thing is totally gay. I mean you have 8 to 10 mostly men sitting in circle, all touching the same cards and chips over and over again. And then they stare at each, it's more like a staring constant, again in a big circle. Oh, i know there are women that play--- but I didn't see many. And all sorts of men. Retirees, young punks, bikers, jesus freaks, etc. Then I saw one particularly flaming one-- i think they call it--going "off tilt" or is it "on tilt". He was ranting and raving and trying to upset whoever he was talking too. Give me  a break -- this is an age old game with rules and traditions---who's he trying to kid. Personally , I look into these players faces (sort of like when Bush looked into Putin eyes and saw his soul), except for one's wearing Elvis glasses and I feel bad. I just can't play a game where I have to take someone else's hard earned money. I would rather take it from the casino. And then there were some players wearing head phones, like they were playing hard to get or something. Who in right mind would neuter one key sense in a game of deception and observation?? I don't get it. Ten men playing footsies, sounds pretty gay to me.
Now that brings me to the Qua Spa, and the Roman Baths. Very nice place....but again, watch your backs. Someone on this board said it's place to go too. But I WASN'T LOOKING FOR THAT KIND OF DATE!  puh lease.........

ez trip report #12

well, the casino isn't getting a lot (the rake) and winning money that people are willing to lose at the poker table isn't that disheartening since your pitting your poker skills and a little bit of luck against everyone else at the table.  Consider that every single device and table game outside the poker room has a built in advantage to the house/casino and you find a lot of people who end up losing more than winning.  The only thing that helps is knowing the best way of playing the game, keeping your losses to a minimum, and racking up some player club credit to offset some of those losses.

Of course, there's always a sure thing if you read the reviews here and decide to "poke her" wink wink nudge nudge know what I mean ...

Yep, I agree, out of control! I used to play poker every day, and I haven't played in 2 years. I'm not sure where some of these people come from, half of them don't even play poker, it seems they are there to get there 15 minutes of fame(if they can make it on TV).

And yes every table is 8-10 men playing with the same cards, and how many men really wash their hands? Yep hmmmmm, makes you wonder,

I got pocket pee cards! Whoo- hoo!!

But I am going to play next week, not sure where so any suggestions??

Lustfully yours

IMO - it's better then playing poker 10 years ago... certainly more entertaining and with everybody watching it on TV and running to the nearest PT when they get to Vegas thinking they know what they are doing.. certainly rewarding!
