Does anyone have any advice on the brothels close to Las Vegas?  I am traveling to town for my first time next month and would like to check out the scene.  Which has the best rep?  Best value?  Which should I avoid?

The nearest legal brothels to Las Vegas is in Pahrump, about a 40-50 minute drive (from the strip, take the I-15 south to Blue Diamond Rd/Pahrump exit and follow NV route 160 west).

The well known ones are Sheri's Ranch and the Chicken Ranch.  Sheri's is completely made over, their website is worth a look, http://www.sherisranch.net

In any case, you should do some research on your own.  There are websites that cover legalized prostituion in Nevada (do a google search on LPIN) and other sites that cover the ins and outs of how it works here.

Best value?  One of the fine (Las Vegas) independents (search the review database) will spend an hour with you (usually between $300-$500).  Better than spending the time to drive to Pahrump and back (and negotiating a price for services rendered).

The ranches in Nevada are over rated and over priced. Better to spend your time and money on a independent (Asian Jackie for one).  you will have a much better experience.

I agree with Razman.I quit the brothel scene as soon as I discovered the independent escorts of Las Vegas.To me,it can be a nerve-wracking,unpleasant experience to drive out to a place,only to find (1)- There's no one that appeals to me,or (2)there IS,but I have to haggle over the price.With the independent escorts,you get a good idea of what they're like by viewing their website pictures,and reading reviews.Also,and this is important,you know exactly what it will cost.Then,you're on your own "turf",your room,which is also more comfortable.The two ladies I see on my trips are Brie Michaels and Amy Jordan.They are attractive ladies,with great personalities.I'm sure a lot of guys here will have their own favorites.I can't imagine myself dealing with the uncertainties of going to a brothel when the escort scene is so much better.

What about some of the other small towns?  I was in Elko many years ago and had a great time.  Is it legal in the towns just over the border from Utah like Wendover, Oasis, or Wells?

I can see valid reasons for going to brothels.  For one, it's legal and there is no identification necessary.  Two, there are health procedures in effect.  Three, you do get to see the girls up close in 3D before making a choice.

I'll grant that the best independants, especially if you already know them, can make those reasons pretty much a wash, but still, I think there's a side to the brothels that's kinda fun and not available elsewhere.  I had a great time at Sheri's on my last trip.  It was kinda cool being in a bar and playing pool and being able to buy drinks, etc.  And I thought the lineup process was a real hoot.  Next time I'm gonna wear cowboy boots, lol!!  I found it to be about twice as expensive as the independants I saw and the service was decidely more "clinical", and much less GFE.  I'll definitely spend the GREAT majority of my time with the independants, but there's a niche for the brothels, and I'll go back.

I drove out to one a number of years ago.  It was one of the most disappointing experiences I've had in this hobby.  Here's why:

1.  You first must chose a girl, then negotiate a price because the initial number they ask for is beyond ludacrity.

2.  The clock is watched oh so carefully.  Got a door knock while on an upstroke and the girl literally slid right off me, quoting house rules.

3.  It's at least a 60 minute drive to and from the brothels.  That's 2 hours of doing nothing.

With all the quality independent providers in town, I cannot imagine a little research here on TER would not come up with any number of well reviewed providers, who will cost you less, or if you want to spend the $$$ give you more time and more pleasure, treat you the way you're entitled to be treated, and make you feel as though you were not ripped off.

Have lots of fun.  LV is my favorite vacation spot.  I'll be there in Jan or Feb and I'm already planning for company.
