I got an e-mail from her:

Dear all,

SWOP-LV will be doing an outreach to our sisters on the streets this December with Planned Parenthood. We are collecting shampoo, conditioner, lotion, etc. from hotel rooms for this outreach, and PP will be providing condoms. We are hoping it will be a monthly (or more often) event.

I'd love it if you could keep this in mind and keep those bottles from your hotel visits for this charity drive! I can come by and collect them from you, or we can meet somewhere and you can bring them with you.

Really good idea for all those lil bottles in the hotel bathrooms.

He got here (to my room in Honolulu) and wanted to take a shower.  I had just arrived and hadn't finished unpacking and putting the little hotel amenties in my suitcase.  I offered him the bottle of unscented Aveeno that I had brought (usually not an issue).  He was saying 'no, this is fine, I'll just use the bar'.  Finally I had to get tough with him and say, "Hand over the bar of soap, it is reserved for the streetwalkers!"  LOL!!  A little confused, he took the bottle of bodywash from me and got into the shower. LOL!  Good thing he has known me for years.

As I sit here in the living room of my suite over-looking the Pacific, after flying first class yesterday, I can see the streets below.  I can't imagine having to work and possilby live down there.  I don't know how they got there or why they can't get out, or even if they want to.  But if Holly wants me to do this small thing to help them, then why not?
