..have been tremendously eye-opening to me.  You can't do a 3-day weekend or a week-long trip with a provider without some of the BS of "real" relationships starting to come into the picture--nobody can present their best side for that length of time.

Even though I think I am, it turns out I'm not a perfect human being; if a provider starts telling me that something I do is getting on her nerves, it's interesting when I realize that often my SO makes similar complaints.  I know that expanding my "sample size" from one to two is not necessarily dispositive--but I can't ignore it, either.

If you hear it from two sources rather than one, maybe there's something to it, y'know?  In many ways, the hobby has made me a better partner in my real life.

What I have learned is not to trust anyone. No matter how many times you've seen a lady... 2 years ago, I made an advance payment to a top provider ( she is still active ). I was supposed to see her 2 days later. She canceled and told me she will be back in town the following week. She never came back. 2 years later, $1200 lost ( although she promised me payment many times.. but it seems that every month one of her friend dies or some kind of drama happens.. Which adds to the insult... ).  

I got burnt pretty bad by a provider a few months ago.  Ya live and ya learn I guess but not a very fun lesson.  Definitely makes it harder to trust people in general.

and actually is the source of much unhappiness.  This is something I've thought since I was a teenager, and it has been reinforced through my interactions in the adult industry

..when you find a provider who shares it with you, even if she is not a 10, 9, or 8, you stick with that girl as much as possible. Personality, commonness, affection and friendship far outweigh looks to me. I have been with the tens, models, a famous actress and none of it has ever lasted more than a year. But I have known 7 type providers and non providers for years.

I understand what you are saying and I did not mean to say that all the ladies are potential thiefs..
In my case, it was one of the highest rated lady on TER.. Someone with many pages of reviews ( all 9's and 10" ) and someone that I have seen 4 times before...I was supposed to see her on a Sunday.. She calls me the thursday before and asked if I could pay her in advance as she had some financial troubles. I agreed to it then she canceled her trip, said she would come back a week later but never did...
So my lesson learned is to NEVER pay anything in advance. No deposit.

I have learned that building trust is important-at least it is to me.  I have learned that being able to communicate with someone is much more important to me now than it was 10 years ago when I first saw a provider.  I have learned that I like multi-hour engagements. I have learned that I will not see anyone who does half hours. I have learned that every provider I see will have a lovely face, wonderful breasts, a nice butt, and shapely legs, so if their face is not blurred I always look at their eyes and the eyes do tell a story. I have learned that kissing is a lost art that I wish more providers would want to be good at.  I have learned that providers are human with the same problems anyone else faces, and are trying to get through life the same too. I have learned that providers have good days and bad days, though at $500-$1000 an hour paid, men do not accept those bad days well.  I have learned that any time within 15 minutes of the scheduled appointment is "on time." I have learned that some providers are as astute businesswomen as any corporate MBA CEO. Most providers are great at marketing, and I have learned that price doesn't always equate the quality of experience. I have learned that most providers love to gossip about others.  I have learned that I enjoy the gossip. I learned quickly I really don’t like the word hobby, but have no substitute for it. I have learned that if I lived in Las Vegas I would be broke, though I guess some LV providers would not see me if I was a local.

I have had experiences with men making incall appointments, I book the room and NCNS.  So I completely understand where you are coming from and how this makes you feel.  Disappointed.
