I was there at the Park theatre a couple of weeks ago for a concert.  I parked in the valet and it was a mess.  The area was small with orange cones everywhere.  The inside had a large white sectioned off area in the middle where you had to walk around.  The outside had a lot of construction equipment everywhere.  In my opinion, not somewhere I would choose to stay right now.  If that does not bother you, then I’m sure the new rooms are still nice.

Hi Vegas people - booked into the Monte Carlo for a short stay this weekend and curious what it's like now...I hear the whole place is renovated in advance of the grand reopening as the Park MGM. Are all the rooms new or is there a chance you might get stuck in an old room (especially if you used a discount like I did, har har)? What are the facilities like?

Also - any word on security/key checks there? I'll be meeting a new friend there and would like to know what to expect. Any suggested meeting places?

Thanks!

but not sure at night.  I visited about a week ago in the morning on a Saturday and another time within the last couple months mid day and there was no security at the elevators.  Both rooms that I went to had been redone.  I personally do not think much has changed as far as the rooms go. The hallways to the rooms (on both visits) were extremely dark.  I didn't venture out to the other areas of the hotel but the lobby looked nice.
