First, I am using an alias for a reason. I am a VIP member.  At this point I am still hoping for a positive outcome to this story. I am visiting Vegas for a few days with friends. Prior to coming I used TER conscientiously to look for well reviewed providers that fit my budget and my types. I read all the reviews, etc. One particular provider offered a pre-paid special. Yes I know, that sounds crazy to me, but it was a VERY good reviewed provider with lots of reviews who has been around a long time.  At any rate, I emailed, and asked questions and decided to take a chance because of who she was and the "deal". I sent the cash. I received an email confirmation from her that she received the cash. We has set a date for this morning. We would confirm with phone when I arrived. I got here two days ago and immediately began trying to confirm. I have sent emails, texted, phoned and PM'd through this site. No methods have resulted in any response. I am still hoping that something unexpected happened to her, but my hopes are dwindling. I am only here for awhile longer.  I wanted to see someone this morning but kept waiting to hear from her.

Was I a fool? Got any ideas?

Paying in advance just doesn't seem to work out so well for some people. Best of luck ever seeing a dime of your money.

If you don't want to out her here, you should post on the reviewers only board at least.

Is she a blonde? Did you search and see if she has a history of doing this before?

I''m going to give her some chance to make good. She finally contacted me and gave an reason. She said she will send me the money when she can. I offered to drive over and pick it up. She had an excellent history. This is a new development and very disheartening. Of course one always knows you take a chance doing what I did, but I thought her long long history and consistently great reviews made it somewhat safe. My exact fear of what may happen, happened. Like I said, I will give her reasonable chance to make good before posting anything.

Don't make more guesses, I won't reply but it is NOT a brunette. I purposely left out some key details with the hope she will rectify this situation. I don't have high hopes, but I am a firm believer of giving people a chance to do the right thing.  This person had NO history of bad behavior that I could find. I think she is in a bad spot and hopefully she will make good and also get out of her bad spot. If I do decide to "out" her, I will go to the moderators first with all the facts.  I have seen two very nice providers while here in Vegas. It has been a pleasure except for this costly and unfortunate incident.

Based on what you have already reveled, anyone who follows this board can figure out who you are talking about ........so you already kinda called her out . ( sorry just being honest )

But ( In general ) I do find it interesting, when a hobbyist has a problem ( usually money issue or no show no call issue ) with a provider ,only after such a post on a discussion board, the hobbyist finally is contacted by the provider ......... so I won't hold your post against you

BUT , in general ( no way am I implying anything about the provider in this post )
This is just a GENERAL observation , in ALL walks of life .

While it makes sense that if someone has a great reputation , that is a person we can trust.
and for the most part we can.
BUT sometimes , good seeds can go bad.

I know of other ladies that , that was the case.
And in my personal life I have a perfect example.

I knew a contractor who had done work in many homes. All very upscale homes and high end condos.
I knew him for 3 years. He was always paid 50% upfront and always was reliable and always got the job done.
Then one day after 3 years , well of course why wouldn't I continue to trust him and his work.
He was paid 50% upfront for a job.
The day he was suppose to start the job ,he called me that he was still waiting on the flooring he ordered for me to arrive.
Well that can happen , but I don't know why , I just had a bad feeling something was not right.
I called the store where he was suppose to get the flooring from , and sure enough he never even put an order in.
From that day on I could no longer reach him. Phone calls , emails , nothing .
I knew I can kiss my money good by . We are not talking about a couple hundred dollars.
This was $10,000.
The police were not much help even though I had proof and recites that I paid him.
and that now he was running a scam .

Yes I could sue him in small claims court , but if you can't find the person , there is no one to sue. If you even find the person, but he doesn't have anything you may win in court but still not get anything.
So I decided to do some investigation of my own before I spent more time and money trying to sue someone that may never even be found.
I found out he was a "good seed that turned bad" He got into serious gambling debt , was doing drugs  and had nothing left. And he stiffed quite a few other people too.

While very sad that he ruined such a great and successful business.
Whatever the reasons were that he chose to go down a shady path.
I knew no matter what , I wouldn't ever see my money again.
The only thing I could do to help others not fall for his scam using the good reputation he built
was to get word out to be carful when doing business with this person......If even to do business with him at all.
Maybe if he made a mistake and decided to try to build back a good reputation , still maybe just not pay him upfront.

Anyways the reason I am telling this story is to show that in any type of business,
good can turn bad. Does this mean that I no longer trust no one ???
Well no , because I think that is just sad if you have to go through life not trusting anyone.
Will I maybe in future be a bit more cautious , how I do things , maybe.

Since I am a big believer in Karma , ( my good Karma ,not bad Karma for the person who basically stole my money )  I didn't sweat that experience too much.
I don't wish on the contractor anything bad. I actually felt sorry for him that he had gone down that path and I hoped he would get help and turn his life back to good and positive.

This happened in 2004. Till this day I still don't know what has happened to this person.
All I know , my life is great and my Karma is great and positive.

Moral of the story , give her chance to make things right. If she doesn't , do what you feel is right.
but life goes on ,  no need to waste too much time and energy dwelling on negative things.

Hope only for good outcome.

All this drama is pure bullshit and just another reason why the future of TER is not looking good.  We'll see if the "report a post" is legitimate or not.  I doubt it.  

There's only been ONE, repeat ONE, well documented provider that offered an exceptional pre-paid deal.  And we all know the reason she did it.  Will it work out for everyone that took her up on that deal, who knows.  I certainly hope so.  But given the situation, it's a bit of a gamble.  

While Tasha also had a great special, it was NOT prepaid!  You moron!  So go crawl back in your f-ing hole, you worthless rodent!!

From your posts and activity it seems that you are one of the biggest sources of income for many of the providers in vegas.  You live on this board.  It must be your only life because you feel the need to respond to everyone and think you have all the answers.  You think because these women talk to you that somehow you're special and that you have all the insight and knowledge.

Well, guess what?  You're the one that needs to shut the f*ck up because you don't have a clue about some of these providers.  You can defend that hooker all you want but I personally have experienced the lies and bullshit that eventually come out when you see her and some of the others for a long time. I was foolish enought to see her nearly 20 times so I can tell you things about her that you wouldn't believe because you're too enthralled with yourself.

Nothing to hide whatsoever ...  So here we go.

I have taken in a LOT of money with the special I recently ran. Yep a lot.  The main reason behind it as most of you know was because of my mounting medical bills with my Multiple Sclerosis. I really had no choice, and that is why I offered that type of special. Unfortunately I am currently having another exacerbation with this terrible disease, and have been unable to work.

HOWEVER NOTHING HAS CHANGED ... NOR WILL IT.

Since January 1st, 2012 I have been able to see 95% of everyone that took advantage of my special. 95%. There have been only TWO ... yes TWO until now that I was not able to meet with. This is now the 3rd.

The first two I immediately explained things to them, and offered them either a refund, or a credit for the next time they were in town. Both of them were VERY understanding and know that I have an IMPECCABLE REPUTATION, and responded to them directly when I knew I could not see them.

Then there is THIS ****** who sent me this email last night.

"Lorsha,
I will be here all day tomorrow. If you text me, I can arrange to pick up my money at your house. I really can't think you would expect that I receive the cash after I leave here.  At this point I would be happy for a partial settlement. I would like to think the problems you are having are real. If you allow me to arrange to pick up $250 tomorrow, I give you a pass on the rest.  I think if you wish to keep your good reputation, that is a fair offer on my part. It would be a shame for you to never work in this town again. I started this thread below so people know how you are screwing me over.

Aliases are a feature of TER. It helps to reduce traceability, just like everyone's main handle is an alias that reduces traceability to their real lives.

Prior to seeing this post this evening, I had pretty much decided to let sleeping dogs lie and write it off as a lesson learned.  But, I have to respond.

First, If you had been a little better in responding to my many many texts, PM's, emails and phone calls over the two days prior to our appointment and three days after, I may not have felt so negative about the situation. Other than this post of yours, I only received one response from you in 5 days of being here, and that was to tell me, sorry no apt by email late in the morning of the same morning we were scheduled to meet. You couldn't bother to talk to me. You have communicated better with this board today that you did with me for the last 5 days. The only thing you emailed me, was, sorry, I'll send you a refund or give you a credit. I know you find it hard to believe someone would get ticked off at the possibility of losing $375, but it is not pennies to me.

I said multiple times in my post that I saw no evidence of prior problems, that is why I didn't out you. I was looking for advice. Few had any idea who you were. One person talked about how a good person could do bad things when things go bad for them. That would not be so ridiculous to assume in your situation.

I didn't need to come to your house. I  would pick up the money anywhere. Where to pick it up, was your choice.You think I would have cared where? I only said that because you said you couldn't drive.  Since you didn't trust a total stranger to pre-arrange a "discounted" date without sending money, why would I expect someone I don't know to mail me back the cash. Do you really think that would be most peoples reaction to that request?

BTW, So because you say that you have come through 95% of the time and I was the unlucky 5%,  I am also supposed to believe it? I'm sorry you don't think I'm a Class Act for wanting to go home with my money. I really don't think I was unfair, in fact many people thought I should have said who it was from the beginning.

Now that I've pissed you off I guess you will be able to justify keeping the money. I'm sure you think that is fair.  

I'm sorry you have this medical situation and I'm sorry I got myself in the middle of it. As you well know, prior to sending you the money, I realized what your situation was and asked you how I could be sure you would not have another "flare up". Your response was "don't worry" It only happens once every 5 years or so. At that time I was very stupid to go ahead anyway.

Other than this incident, I had a great time in Vegas and met some great providers.

Again, thanks to Vegas for a great time. Wish I could come back more often but this was a one time deal. I'm done with this. Good luck Lorsha, I wish you the best, I really do.

Thank you bshfdan. That is what got me so upset along with the lack of response. She is a business that I prepaid services for. She cancelled the service. She has lived in Vegas forever. She says she made lots of money on her "deal". So, why not say, I'll send a friend to meet you at the Hotel or anywhere else with your refund. Or maybe a courier service? Any other business would not say, "well I'll give you a credit for future use for the service we cancelled or when we get around to it we will mail you a check.  When that check arrived Lucy would say, "Ricky, you have some splainen to do!"

For $15 they would come to your house, pick up an envelope, deliver it to the hotel next day.  Case closed, problem solved.

The girl offered her "special" as a way to raise money for medical treatments for multiple sclerosis because she doesn't have the type of insurance that most people take for granted.  Most providers are in similar situations, they pay twice as much for health insurance that offers them half the coverage.  

She is not a "business". A business has multiple employees and support systems that can fill in when one employee is not available.  She is a private contractor and in a way you are her employer as well as a customer. I don't know what it is like to have multiple sclerosis, or what the treatments are like, but I do know what it's like to have an employee take emergency medical leave; and I would never tell them "make sure you take your phone to the hospital so you can answer you emails when your sick".  I always tell them to "make your health a priority, and we'll catch up when you return", and everyone I've ever worked for has told me the same thing when I got sick or had a family emergency.

You took a risk when you took advantage of her special.  The potential benefit was to spend time with a highly rated Vegas provider for half price.  The risk is what your experiencing now.  If you wanted a sure thing than you should have taken the traditional route, and arranged for a someone to see you in your hotel room and pick up the envelope in the bathroom with the standard donation.

These girls take allot of risk to give us a few hours of the most selfish type of pleasure.  The risk their health, their liberty, and their safety every time they provide.  They get no health insurance, no pension plans, no legal benefit, no sick time, no disability insurance, no workers compensation and no paid vacations.  They pay taxes just like us, and get treated like shit in the eyes of society, and many times by their clients.  And some of them have kids, and all it takes is a bust or an STD and their world can fall apart. They deserve better than this.  

Yes, you have right to try and recoup your funds, and the fact that you offered to accept partial payment is a evidence that you are a decent person. But I think this public display does not take into consideration that this was a risk you were willing to take for somebody that needed help in a time of need.

I hope this matter works out to your satisfaction, and that you offer a apology if it does.

No, the only response I ever got besides the one that said I'll give you a credit or mail it when I get the chance, was the response you see on this discussion. She never responded directly to me. Obviously, I'm gone now, and I won't be holding my breath for further contact. I'd love to be wrong and I am, I will start a whole new thread with a grand apology!

Since you don't live here. Here's what I propose.

I'll take your place and see her. Then I'll tell you about it. Then you can write an article about it and sell it. You'll make thousands!!

He posted it 12 hours after I offered him either a credit or a refund. His "anger" was in the fact that I did not refund him WHILE he was still here in Vegas. Very sorry that my unusable leg and numb arm could not accomodate that request.
