It Was A One Time Thing

I look at casual encounter ads and I think them over.  They are on Craigs.  I text this girl and she says come on down, and I knock on the door at an extended stay place.  Some guy about twenty feet away walks over and sticks a knife in my gut making a small puncture.  They stole my wallet, money, and phone.

I want to file a police report, but I hate to get tagged for looking at some chick's ad.  I am even embarrassed to say I went and looked at the casual ads.  This was the first time I took a chance.  The girl texted pics and all seemed well.

When you remove the accountability that TER provides to both Clients and Providers you are putting yourself in the path to be ripped off or worse put your personal safety and life in jeopardy.

I would definitely put your pride aside and go to the cops because they will continue to do the same thing to others and perhaps the next gentleman might not be as lucky to escape with just a small cut.

There are so many wonderful ladies of all different shapes, sizes, hair colors, service levels and price point to be found on TER why would you ever want to look anywhere else!

Get well soon and please warn others about whom you saw so they can stay safe too!

All of my dates post here, but this one.  Decent looking and the old you do not think I am worth it, so I took the bait.  At least I did not wind up like those job seekers showing up for a job on a farm in Ohio and they were murdered,

On the other hand I see some ads on that site with different pics now and then, but a similar pitch.  So it appears there is a stalker on that side of the web.  It can happen on the Backpage too.

risk your life on cheap pussy? I wasn't going to comment, but I was pissed after reading your story because it is idiots like you that make the hobby look bad. I cannot feel sorry for you, for doing such a fucking asinine move. You need to get some perspective on how close you came to dying to save a few bucks just to get laid. Why the fuck would you with TER reviews do something so fucking stupid.

I hope you learned to never take a chance with your life for pussy. Play safe and stick to established well reviewed ladies on TER! Tough love brother!

Unfortunately on CL and some of those BP ads are scammers who do not want to provide a service they just want to rob people.
I would report it if I was you.I hope you are okay you mentioned a small cut.
Unfortunately, out here extended stays and budget suites I would stay far away does not matter where in las vegas it is always some sketchy stuff going on at places like that and sketchy folks.
Just stick with TER REVIEWED ONLY providers.
I have heard this similar story so many times over the years it is still upsetting to hear.
Everything they took from you is material and you can get back but the mental aspect of going through something like that is traumatizing

It's your call, I would suggest you report the crime.

But I am not looking to get bashed either.  My main question was would you file a police report?  Can they charge me with a  misdemeanor for solicitation?  I Googled this issue and they say that in one year the robberies from trick and roll cost victims over $2 million.

I am sorry I even brought this up and I will steer clear since my reputation is apparently in the gutter.
Happy New Year to all!

I'm not a law expert by any means, but seeing an online ad and simply showing up to meet someone is NOT a crime. Without any substantial proof, the cops can't prove what your intentions were in going there. You can easily say that you were there just to talk, have a 1st date, whatever....just don't be stupid and incriminate yourself.

Obviously money, wallet, and a phone are all easily replaceable so it's up to you if it's worth it to fight for those things back. But I agree with everyone else that these people will continue these crimes until they are caught. Not sure what your situation is but remember if you do pursue this and they catch the bastards, there could be an investigation, trial, police reports etc. Somebody sticking a knife in your stomach and making a small puncture is definitely aggravated assault or even worse. They threatened your life which may even be attempted murder. Like I said, I'm no law expert but it sounds like it could be pretty serious if shit goes down. Not sure if you can call in an anonymous tip on something like this. Seems like the cops would need a statement or testimony from you to move forward.

Don't take the chance next time bro! Stick with the lovely ladies of TER. Good luck.

or tell us the ad on Craig's list. You have given zero information on who these people were. I don't do Craig's but the guy with the knife would have ended up shot. I always carry.

AND report it. You didn't say where in town it was so different agencies but all would act given you had a deadly weapon used and a small cut. They would probably just laugh at you and call you a dumb ass behind your back. Remember your going to have to testify and that's what they are counting on, a no show witness who backs out

Craigslist and BP scare the hell out of me. Glad your semi OK. Has to be tough psychologically though.
Don't know how long ago this happened. I would find a way to report it though.
"Was in the neighborhood checking the place out to rent, and was robbed." Show the cops your wounds. Armed robbery might get some attention. Can track your phone with GPS too.

Cautious reminder for everyone.

Hope you heal emotionally.

That's terrible that you had to go through that. I once asked a lawyer friend of mine about reporting crimes that might happen while on a call and he said there is some anonymous hotline. I know last month someone gave me a black eye during a session and I was too nervous to report it myself so I understand the hesitancy. If this all was legal, we'd certainly have a lot more protection under the law.

I am nervous about reporting it.  I have a copy of the ad I printed out when I got back home.  I called 311, and I was on the phone forever.  I drove down to the Metro station for my district, but it was closed.  I want to report it, but I cannot even get charged or found guilty of a misdemeanor or it triggers a disciplinary hearing with a state licensing agency.

It's crazy in this town and you can't go with someone that hasn't been reviewed by your peers. This place offers so much and you can't afford to be cheap about it in a town like Vegas, sadly.

Tough love brother. Not bashing. Not sure why as an experienced hobbyist, you would take a chance and risk your life for a cheap ass pussy. Glad you are not dead, but no pussy is worth a life. Stay within the safe confines of TER and other safe venues.

I would not report, as it would not be worth it financially nor giving out public information. Hobby safe!

they do not care why you went there they care to catch these dangerous crooks. I am sick to hear that guys and gals do not report criminal activity..think about the next guy for once...he might not as fortunate as you and he might loose more than money

Report it to the police!  Who cares what the police officers personally think of you?  They are professionals and it is their job to investigate violent crimes and arrest the perpetrators, no matter what the set-up was!

...won't have to testify.  They don't care about your minor solicitation charge when they can put two or more really bad guys away.

Jeeze I had to have some coffee, and take care of personal things.  Driving in that rain was insane yesterday.   I went to an urgent care at 2:30am and they put some sort of glue on the wound so it wound hold together.  It was not so bad that it needed stitches.  I slept a few hours and went to the bank again for a temp ATM card and I picked up a new phone at Verizon and I was too worn out to think about going do Metro this afternoon.   I had to take a nap.  I will go there Monday.  I have seen similar ads where they post a cute white girl and say it is an incall.

I understand your dilemma but i'll put it in this way. Since Im sure theyve done this frequently, would youd want this on your conscience if they did something worse to someone else or even one of the hobbysts or ladies on this board.  To me, no, I'd file a report based on that alone.
