I will be in Vegas pretty soon and you always here about how FABULOUS the food is, but how does someone decide just on where to go. Every where claims to have the BEST food. Can anyone point me in the right direction of a really great steak house? With so many options, I just can not decide where to go !

Thanks,

Kelsie Blake

You are spoiled in vegas, I have eaten at most of the strip places and my top 5 are

1. SW Steakhouse - Wynn(on patio looking out to the lake of dreams)...Always wanted to dine there with a beautiful lady, never have.
2. Old Homestead (Caesers)
3. Craftsteak (MGM)
4. Cut (also actually have a great whole roasted fish)
5. Prim

SW-Wynn
Prime-Bellagio
Jean Georges-Aria
Craftsteak-MGM
Capital Grille-fashion show mall on the outside across from Wyn

It's right around the corner from me.  Gets good write-ups, but looking for personal feedback.

SW is my fav, but I am not a meat-eater.
I do love sitting outside next to the Wynn lake under a heat lamp on a crisp fall evening.
Piero's is always a treat.  Old school Vegas.
I went to Del Frisco's this week.  Excellent meat and service, but ambiance is designed for businessmen.
No one weighted in with Morton's?
Or Hugo's Cellar

Envy - Don't waste your time, your wallet or your pallet. Possibly the most over-hyped and underwhelming steakhouse in Las Vegas currently.

Morton's in Las Vegas is like any other Morton's...  somewhat pretentious but GAWD what a steak. No B-list used-to-be sitcom stars like the one in Burbank,CA though.

What I'd like to find, now that I'm a Vegas local, is a really good steak house in Summerlin.
Outback or Fleming's, yeah ok, but what about (fill in the blank); any suggestions?

Don't waste your time on FLemings, unless you are getting a big discount or you are buying Flemings Potatoes (the best). Outback is even worse. Envy is even better than Morton's if you ask me.

I ate at Hugo's w/a few female friends.  Food wasnt bad (esp dessert) but very pricey. I think it was $110 including tip for us 3 & all they had were salad & they split their 1 dinner between them.

I really appreciate it ! Meat eater is an understatement, I grew up eating ribs, steak, chicken and pretty much any kind of meat I could get my little hands on.

See you soon Vegas !!

vintage old style vegas steak house

They will ask you if you want some steak sauce and then when the bill comes you will find you have been charged an exhorbitant charge that they didn't even tell you about. If you complain, the manager will tell you to go fuck yourself.

Most likely asking for steak sauce is considered an insult, so you get charged. Those steaks there are already aged, seasoned perfectly and cooked by fine Chefs, so it is not good etiquette to ask for anything other than salt and pepper in a place like The Golden Steer.

I go to outback once or twice a month (because it is close) and they have no problem with giving you steak sauce, if you want it.

When I do go to Outback, I always wish I was at the Steer. In my top five restaurants ever!

I've had some great steaks at Morels, and it has become my go-to steakhouse.  Their Bone-in-Filet is especially flavorful.

...since no on mentioned it. On Paradise just north of Flamingo, it is the best.

You will get a bad steak anywhere in Vegas ! It's the company you enjoy it with that makes the dining special !
