I have a few questions I was hoping some of the more knowledgeable and experienced memers of this board could help me out. Also, I have a poll for the men and for the ladies seperately.

1. Is there such a thing as an Independent Escort License? Agencies have them...Agency business licenses...Can I get an Indy biz lic?

2. My sister is selling credit card merchant accounts with the machines. I was wondering if I have a license and use the account, I could file with the IRS? Income etc.

3. For the men, does having the option of using your credit card seem like something you would use in place of cash and why? Do you see any drawbacks for you at all?

4. For the ladies, do you see any problems using a credit card account for your biz? Would you feel comfortable using the account?

5. Has anyone had any experience with this type of transaction for this industry at all? Have you had any problems with it?

I don't know what cellphone phoneplan you have but sweetie there are other options besides buying a credit card machines. I know plenty of limo drivers who are independent and can swipe a credit card in their phone if you have the need. I have always been told Credit is for losers in Las Vegas. Most men who come here have funds readily available. But let me know how it worksout for you

get an Independent Escort Business License in Vegas(not legal, unless it has recently changed). You can probably get some other type of license, like a indepentant contractor dancer business license (needed to work at many of the clubs) or some other license like a cleaning company or detail company as a front). There are some ladies that except credit cards on various sites. Think the charge shows up as a business name, so it doesn't show up as an escort visit. Not exactly sure. Accepting charge cards might be good for when someone doesn't have the money on hand or want to use it as a business expense.

I don't know if it would work down there but I know in Canada you can form a company or incorporate yourself with you being the only employee and then you could try to apply for a business licence.  I hope this makes sense.  I am sure you know some lawyers that you could ask. Just my .02 worth

If a guy decides he wants to reverse a transaction, chances are his credit card company will side with him.  Which means ultimately you end up offering your service to him for free.  Might want to think about it babe.

1) A biz license no matter who gets it opens you up for all manner of regulations. Including but not limited to DBA's or corp papers, if you want to have a business (businesses are looked at sharply in this business), State license (yes you will be notified you need one)(more scrutiny of course. I could go on with the many con's. The bottom line is there is no such thing as a license for hooking. You can disguise it all you want, but it is what it is, if caught.

2) First off, I would be real leery of involving my sister in this. Credit cards are used by some, but very very few. There is always a paper trail to explain away to SO, not matter that the charge is to Heather's Fruit Market or what ever the name might be. IRS? They do not care about CC charges. The do care about you paying your taxes or as it were Not paying your taxes. Again, getting a CC merchant account is again going to involve a business name or DBA at minimum (back to controls and scrutiny. I might have left off that, if I were a client I could give you a charge back on my card leaving you high and dry, or working for free. Dunno if guys do that, but why risk it?

3)I personally would never use a credit card for the hobby. Cash rules! As for the drawbacks, please see #2 above.

4) and 5) I'm wrong gender and already stated I never would use a CC.

However I think you may just buy more problems by trying this as others have pointed out. I would love to hear from those that do accept Credit Cards though!
It may be the thing to do is just keep handling your affairs the way you have been and hiring a good accountant.
