I am a virgin..... Ok I am a virgin when staying in a downtown hotel.
What suggestions do you have ? I would like a nice renovated room - within Fremont experience and all of the new local restaurants. I love to try new places and I think a couple of days in DT Vegas would be a fun time. Or course I will also seek the company of a lady or two; but with limited funds - I know my selection will also be restricted. Just looking for Hotel and foodie places. I am not a heavy drinker (heck just smelling Whiskey would get me drunk). I will stay with nice Wines. Food on the other hand......Anyone remember Little shop of Horrors "feed me" song......Just good places, good food and maybe good company. March 1 till 5. Happy Valentines day TER Board......enjoy life, please, please embrace your moments in time.
One block off Fremont. New rooms, decent gaming area, and a little bit more subdued than the craziness on Fremont. Pizza Rock & Triple George is right next door and are both good. Hugo Cellar @ Four Queens is a great steakhouse. I also like Carson Kitchen but it's a little bit of a walk from Fremont but has an eclectic, fun atmosphere. Lots of good choices in Downtown Vegas!
Enjoy your trip to Vegas! If you want some company and tour guide I'd love to help Kimy xo
Was the first time I stayed down town. I had a blast! I stayed at the Main Street Station. The rooms are ok, and it's not that expensive. I plan on staying at the D this year. From every one I've talked to they say the Golden Nugget is the best place to stay, and most say get a room in the Rush Tower. There are sooooo many great places to eat down there. Some are The Triple George Grill, Pizza Rock, I had two awesome meals at the restaurants at the California Casino, I cant recall there names off the top of my head. Kit and I had a wonderful meal at Veginattion, and there are lots of places at the container park to eat. I eat at the hot dog place and it was real good. Lots of other places as well.
The Golden Nugget or the Grand will offer you best options for what you are looking for. As far as food it is all there. Great steakhouses include Oscars at the Plaza, Triple Georges, Hugo's cellar at the Four Queens, Binions and a good one right in the Nugget. Is Asian your flavor...try Le Thai. Seafood is the prime choice at The Charthouse in the Nugget. BBQ down at the Container Park. LaComida offers great Mexican food. And those are just to name a few. Have fun and eat well! Don't forget to save some dough for the lovely ladies of TER.
