I know a lot of guys on the L.V. board are big fans of Sheri's Ranch. Many of you may spend the next month flaming this post. I may even get banned from the L.V. board. I don't care.

Fact of the matter is, everything in my review really happened. This is a cautionary tale to my fellow hobbyists who are contemplating a trip to Pahrump (or any ranch for that matter).

I Got ROBbed at Sheri's Ranch!

You take your chances when you call an escort service. But, NOT when you go to a place like Sheri's Ranch. You expect to get exactly what you pay for. So, please read my review before you decide to pay top dollar for next to nothing at Sheri's Ranch.

"15 minutes later, we were all in the 1960's themed "hippie" bungalow -- black-lights, psychedelic day-glo Jimi Hendrix posters, disco ball and a round bed. The session went straight downhill from there.

"I wasn't even undressed yet and they wanted MORE money to extend the session to 3 hours!

Well, the hard-sell never stopped. It went non-stop for the next 50 minutes, nearly the entire session. They took turns either badgering me to spend more money or sucking down rum-and-cokes as fast as they could.

So, my warning to my fellow hobbyists: Before your waste your time and money driving to Pahrump, read my full review and think about how little guarantee you are getting when you go to a "legal, licensed brothel."

That really really sucks!!!  I was jut out there a couple of months back, but had a whole different experience, however I knew the lady previous to her working at Sheri's.    Sorry it sucked so bad, I've heard some horror stories come from those that have ventured to the brothels.  

I hope this doesn't kill your hobbying as a whole, just stay away from those damn pussy prisons!!!  

I'm not excusing those chicks or the house, but you've got to accept a lot of the blame for that fiasco. It's not that hard to say no. I could understand a newbie falling for a ridiculous deal like that, but not someone who knows what they can get for $300-$400 in Vegas. Even if those chicks had been good, you would have been ROBbed at those bungalow rates.

The ladies at Sheri's often appear to take bargaining power beyond reasonable bounds. I found a little better atmosphere (value wise) at Chicken Ranch. They usually offer fewer selections if you're into the fashion model look - fewer platinum pussies, as well though.

One thing that holds true at Nevada Ranches: YMMV all over hell and gone, but it's assured you're not going to find a bargain.

Sorry you got screwed in the worst sense. Sad that those girls probably got kudos and rewards at the next morning's "sales meeting" for topping the chart that day.

I don't know what your experience level is but you could have asked questions in this or other TER forums before you parted with your hard earned $$$$. Perhaps you are relatively new to TER but it has proven to be a valuable resource to me.  I have not engaged in Nevada brothels since the early 1990s.  Back then the prices seemed kinda high but not too out of hand.  From the intel I've gotten over the last 10 years or so, it seems like average brothel prices have gone through the roof.  Also IMHO I think the independents overall are better looking, there is more variety and they are far more reasonably priced.

For example, Shady Lady Ranch, about 2.5 hours away from the strip, their menu is based on time rather than services.  Maybe not as many licensed sex workers as Sheri's at any one time but a better deal on the pocketbook.

Basically, you picked the most expensive brothel in Southern Nevada, and picked the deeee-luxe options to go along with it (and this probably inflated the prices quite a bit). This doesn't excuse the attitudes that you said the ladies showed (they should have been quite happy with getting a nice slice of $ for 90 minutes work, instead of chivvying you for more), but IMO, the bungalows in a brothel are not particularly cost-effective, considering you could a) rent a very nice high-roller suite in your average Strip casino for an evening and b) get a couple of nice indies for MORE than 90 minutes for $3K.

I had 3 of the exact same posters, and a black light, in my room when I was in high school.

...as the Chicken Ranch in Pahrump has always maintained an excellent reputation and more often than not has a stellar lineup of spectacular ladies. Their numbers may not be as large as at their competition next door, but you WON'T get ripped off there by false advertising or by a platinum pu$$y who'se just in it for the quick buck. The CR's facilities may be older and less fancy than their neighbor's, but they are always clean and the ladies are the main attraction anyway.

I realize that you personally seem to hate the Pahrump brothels, Number 6, but please don't scare others away from the CR (and LPIN in general) just because of what all-too often happens at Sheri's. In my book, those who own and run that place are an embarassment to the legal brothel industry in Nevada. And don't even get me started on Joe Richards' two nearby Cherry Patch brothels, they're even worse! But the same cannot be truthfully said about the folks at the Chicken Ranch, who've maintained a first-class operation for many, many years running.

Did you speak to Sheri's management after your party?  I'm not saying that it would have done any good considering the poor reputation Sheri's management has had in the past.  However, every time I hear about someone being ripped off at a brothel, they very rarely complain to management right after their party.  If Sheri's values their customers and if they want to continue to run a successful business, they need to correct these types of problems when they occur.

In contrast, next door at the Chicken Ranch, management believes in customer satisfaction and they want your repeat business.  Their shift manager will even ask you before you leave if the party went well and if you had a good time.  If there is a problem, the CR will take care of their customers.

P.S. I've also visited many of the legal NV brothels over the past several years (both in Northern and Southern Nevada).  However, I'm also a big Indie fan, as well.  Each "venue" has it's advantages and IMHO, it all comes down to personal choice.

Your comments are fair, and I agree. I'm personally very point and click myself, which is why I do the brothel thing in Europe and not NV. My point is why go through all that aggravation in the minefield known as Pahrump when you have so many great indies in town?

Do note that one establishment out of what, six? is run professionally. "Amaragosa" Joe is just about extraction, that's all.

BTW, Carson is ok in my book.

It's a few years after the fact but on behalf of Sheri's Ranch I want to sincerely apologize for any dissatisfaction or outright rudeness you may have encountered.  

Since your review in 2008 we have acquired new management staff, and made it official policy to do a client satisfaction survey after services have been rendered.

In addition, you will be happy to know that we have since enhanced our quality and customer service guidelines so that if there is ever a question of customer mistreatment we will do out best to remedy the situation. One of the contractors you had is no longer with us and will never be able to work with us again! The other has been formally counselled and has adjusted her approach, now receiving glowing customer reviews.

I hate to hear that you had such a bad experience at such a wonderful place, but please allow me to change the way you see us! I would never talk down on another lady, but if your experience was as bad as you have explained I am terrible sorry for your misfortune, however I can assure you that you will find your next trip a uch better experience, if you give us a try.  
I wasn't working here in 2008 but as of November 2013 Sheri's has consecutively been brothel of the year for two years now. We are the only brothel with a hotel on site and (in my opinion at least) one of the best looking! We have implemented many new policies to prevent everything that you have mentioned over the years, and the ladies that I have spoken to (myself included) pride themselves on the upscale, relaxed, non rushed parties that keep so many of our regulars returning!  
At any given time we have between 15-25 ladies working, so while we try to only keep courtesans who will provide a great session, unfortunately there are bound to be one or two less professional girls who slip through the cracks and there's no real way of knowing until we see them working, however any lady who doesn't treat her client professionally can and will be terminated if you inform the hostest on duty.  
There is no excuse for you being treated in such an undignified manor, but I truly believe you find that many things have changed from 2008 to now, and if you would care to see for yourself, I would love to show you how a party is supposed to be! I hope that two bad seeds doesn't ruin the whole crop for you, because there are quite a few magnifigant flowers just waiting for you to pluck them here!
