I just spent a weed in Vegas, could someone explain what the deal is with every corner of the strip being filled with people passing out these flyers promising a naked woman delivered to your room. I was not fool enough to call, and I know its not legal in Vegas, but could someone tell me if this is a huge scam, I am sure it is and also expain the economics of this. These people handing out the flyers must make money some how otherwise they would not be out there all day in 100 degree heat. Who would be stupid enough to fall for this kind of sceam. Are drunk men in Vegas that dumb?

that only gets one of the dancers to your room after that is paid you negotiate further and spend more money per your request. Not a good deal at all .The company has been around for a long time and they make great money heavy duty advertising as they do.

A lot of guys who would normally never think about contacting a provider come to Las Vegas and think it would be fun to have some strange, especially when they have won at the tables and still have some time to kill. They would have NO experience with the hobby, have never heard of TER, and Las Vegas is sin city, after all! So they see those flyers and think they should give it a try! In fact, among visitors to Vegas, there are probably more of those guys than the ones that have some experience in the hobby and therefore know better than to fall for that deal! Obviously the agency that offers those scams doesn't care about repeat business, but there are SO many suckers like that that the agency still can make plenty of money!

Let me break it down for you because I used to work at some of these places so believe me I know that fee on the card is not the fee you will pay that is a discount card a coupon which means whatever the company fee whatever price is advertised on card will be taken off the initial company fee.You will not get the girl on the card or magazine.I remember one girl who did actually pose for pics to be placed on those cards, but in all my years that was the only girl that I knew for sure was real. After the fee is collected here comes the major upsell this is not just one company doing this they all do this.Actually, there are a few places that will let the gent know the girl on the advertisement is just a model and she will not be the one to show up.Majority of agencies in vegas does this except 100proof.The tips the ladies request from the gentleman are high because they do not keep all of their tips so for them to be able to come out on top they have to ask for a large tip.You will be surprised how many gentleman/couples fall for this and majority of the time they are not drunk or under the influence of any controlled substance they just don't know what they are stepping into. These places are so slick now that they advertise all the time as Independents and they are not and they give Vegas a bad name when the gentleman start complaining about how bad Vegas is or that they got ripped-off.Stick with TER and some of the other reputable sites and you won't have a problem.Pick up one of those cards, magazines, billboards and 9 times out of 10 you will be disappointed.

The economics of it is that this is a multi-million dollar business. You were smart not to call on them.

However, for all the reasons already alluded to hundreds of men *do* make that call everyday. It is a matter of number crunchers. Another fact is that many of the unsuspecting victims of this operation, will not complain to authorities or the hotel. Why? Well, use your imagination and if you are married, the whole litany of excused come forward in one's mind.

Some myths are often thrown out there. First off, complain as you may they are fully protected under the 4th Amendment to keep peddling their wares for as long as the sun keeps coming up in the east... or is it the west... I forget. lol

Another is that there are several companies involved in this Vegas Strip business. Not so, there is only one business with several corporate names funneling the money into one coffer. They have spent millions in attorney fees and court costs defending that 4th Amendment right to publish and distribute their handouts, cards and newsstand pamphlets. The dust has settled and there are no other reasons to go to court, unless of course the Senior's working the strip trespass onto casino properties.

You were wise to make better choices. Unfortunately thousands of stories abound where others were not so smart.

"The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized."

But anyways, here's an article about the topic. A bit dated, but interesting.

I'm not a lawyer, but I did stay at the Holiday Inn Express once.

The dated article from 2005 only confirms what I stated in my post. One of the most interesting paragraphs confirming my post is:

"County and city officials have long waged a battle against the distribution of handbills on the Strip and downtown. Government leaders have claimed that the pamphleteers impede the flow of foot traffic and interfere with private businesses. The American Civil Liberties Union contends that the distributors have a constitutional right to distribute material without interference from the police or casino operators because the Strip is public property. So far, handbillers are winning in the court of law but not in the eyes of the public."
