Try using hotwire. I've found some excellent deals in the past. Use the approval tab for 90-100 percent satisfaction and you won't go wrong. Or try a hotel without a casino for a lesser rate...

Downtown Grand...

Used to be the old Lady Luck hotel/casino.
It has been remodeled so the rooms are alot more modern now.
The rooms are a little small and clean.
Have fun!If you are not actually going to the fight go to one of the MGM properties to see the fight since it will not be shown downtown at any of the hotels or sportsbook.MGM properties only.

Its a very nice hotel I like it a lot - definitely my downtown fav.  Has a great retro feel.. very dicreet access to elevators.. I always love that!
Rooms are good size, very nice. (in main hotel ,I havent stayed in the tower) Good onsite bars, food.nStaff friendly, great service Close enough to fremont without being on it and its away from the noise.

By comparison:
A quick scan of priceline (whom I use for advanced bookings) shows theres nothing less than $300pn that weekend.. and those are the roach motels on the edge of town.
Even stratosphere and circus circus are mid-high 300's...and they are bottom of the barrel strip hotels.
If you want something decent expect 500..  

If you can get Grand for 339 Id say you hit the jackpot
