when did harrah's acquire elevator security?...i was there a couple of nights ago and noticed podiums with security staff at all the elevator entries...good thing i still had my room key from hosting the week before to get through...but is this going to be permanent?

When I stayed there 2 years ago they had security at the elevators only on the weekend and after 8pm. Let me know if this has changed, I am going to be staying there next week.

way back in the day they used to have security standing at the podium by the elevators in the evening visitors of guests had to show their ID!They would write your ID info down on a sheet of paper at the podium.Glad they did away with that what a pain that was.Maybe because it was chinese new year they decided to have security?There was alot of people here this past weekend.

I've stayed there every year for the last 5 years during March Madness and have rarely seen security posted at the podiums, and I tend to be a night owl.  Not to say it never happens (the podiums are obviously there for a reason, after all), I just can't say I've seen a pattern during my stays there.
